For the previous poll, Omona has currently chosen Bad Boy as their Red Velvet no.1 single! It was a very close race with multiple songs fighting hard for that main spot but BB came out on top. Feel free to vote if you missed out as the polls stay open!

What an icon. I've said this before but I'll say it again: before I heard of Kpop, and before I even got into kdramas (mind you I've been watching them for half of my life lol so that's a long-ass time), I've always had an awarness of her — little baby-me in then middle-of-nowhere town lol, that's how much of an icon she is (although back then I don't think kpop was called kpop, or at least I wasn't aware it had a name lmao). So when people talk about paving the way, it'll always be her; it's just a fact 😌.

Anyways my top 5 are:
1- Only One (ok maybe I'm a little biased okaayyyy but at least I'm self-aware 😂 so it evens things out lmao)
2- Kiss My Lips (oh my word she looked so gorgeous in the mv)
3- One Shot, Two Shot
4- Woman
5- Better

this one is sooooooo difficult but in the end i'll choose only one? though it could also just as well be atlantis princess i think many boa songs have this quality that they're sooo comforting in melody and sound to me, like only one, you're still my number 1, atlantis princess...

but i also loooove her more stronger sounding songs like hurricane venus, camo, kiss my lips, camo (!!!!!), woman. she really is the blueprint

Yes BoA <3 She's such an icon!!! so many songs and albums to chose from.
I picked Only One because I think it's basically a perfect song lol, it fits her voice and performance style (the choreo!), it's sweet and emotional, the instrumental is super pretty. I'm replaying it and I have tears in my eyes lmao. It's a similar effect for me than Into the New World by SNSD, it fits whatever mood I need when I play it, if I need comfort, reassurance, confidence or an emotional moment. There aren't many songs like these for me.

My second favourite is Camo, the way she slides from pre-chorus to chorus, the effortless attitude, the performance!!! Also I'm so thankful it was released years ago, if she was to release it today with the same concept, I'm sure SM would find a way to tie it with their kwangya bullshit lol.

Other favourites of mine are Atlantis Princess and No.1 for the earlier singles, her Hurricane Venus/Copy & Paste era as a whole (the first Korean comeback I really experienced! so it has a special place for me), One Shot Two Shot.
I was also obsessed with Eat You Up when it was released lol.

She said in some interview, when asked, which song is HER favorite and she said it was Only One because, and I'm paraphrasing so it's not word for word, she knew what she wanted the song to be, she knew what she wanted the stage to be... she just knew what to do with that song. And it shows. It really, truly does show.

this is pretty easy for me. Only One was released years ago but it's still so iconic and great to listen even now. I did like Woman and One Shot Two Shot from her later releases, but Only One is too iconic.

I'm not surprised omona voted bad boy for red velvet's top track, I think that was probably the first more mature concept they did and omona loves a growup story. That's not to say it's not deserving, it's definitely one of their top tracks for me. I'm really happy Peek-A-Boo came in second though, I loved that whole era, the styling, everything.

I'm less familiar with boa's discography though I feel like that helps me be less biased here. I reeeally love Woman but I voted The Shadow because I feel like that's the iconic Boa track that keeps reeling me back in, the one I randomly get the urge to listen to.

There is... only... one... choice for me.

I cannot truly put into words how much I love Only One. I remember when the TEASER clip dropped and all it was was like the piano portion and her singing "You're The Only One." And the second I heard those piano keys I just knew that the song was something special.

I would listen to the song for like 2 hours every morning for a month. Just that song. On repeat. And then I'd listen to the whole album for another few hours (truth be told, Only One as an album isn't really an album, it's a mini-album and, aside from the Shadow, which is also amazing, it's not her strongest in my opinion). Then I'd come home and watch the music video, or at least have it on replay, for another few hours.

Even to this day, almost 10 years later, almost every morning I'm at work, I listen to this song first to start my day. It's my favorite song. Not my favorite BoA song. Not my favorite Kpop song. My favorite song. In a language I don't understand (truth bomb number 2: the translated lyrics show that, lyrically, it's not really all that impressive, but the music and her vocals...).

I honestly and truly believe that, if I ever hear her sing this live in person, I'll openly weep. Straight up Turning Red at the 4-Town moment.

Only One stands on top, but after that I really like Disturbance and My Name also. The Shadow, Camo and Woman grew on me later. She looks really washed out in Feedback.

For b-sides, nothing beats Not Over You. Green Light, Hope and Gravity are really great, too.
