Idol A from a famous idol group is under suspicion of noise between floors.

On the 10th, an article titled "exposing a famous idol group member for noise between floors" was posted in an online community. The author revealed, "I live in Gangnam, Seoul. I tried to solve it but it didn't work so I'm asking for advice."

A revealed, "There's a celebrity living upstairs from our house. The noise between floors was too much for a few weeks. I thought it was a house with kids so I endured it thinking they were moving but it turns out they were just moving to another floor. It was so loud that I knocked on the ceiling and tried to not pay attention to it as much as possible but the noise kept getting louder and I'm suffering from all kinds of noise, morning to evening, to the point I can't sleep, it's frustrating. I inquired to our management office and sent an e-mail to the agency before posting but I've yet to receive any confirmation."

"I know he's a celebrity with his own private life but I had hoped it would get better without confronting him. I like idol groups and liked this group too. Since I know the hearts of fans I want to solve it well, but what should I do?"

A further revealed, "I don't know the details of the idol but I've heard them a lot as a group. They seem to have a lot of overseas fans. I want to reveal it right away but it's a very famous group. If this continues, I have no choice but to reveal it."

Whoever it is, I hate them straight away. There is NOTHING worse than an annoying neighbor especially when it comes to sound. You feel like you can never breathe or relax in your own space, there is no escape. It can literally drive you insane.

As someone who is moving rn due to noisy neighbors this really bothers me. I never felt at home in my apartment and I hate that I the one who has to leave!!

I also moved because of terrible neighbors, was such a relief to be away from those idiots. They would never admit it was them but I could hear them giggle behind the door whenever they closed it after a confrontation. Throwing around workout equipment 24/7, wearing heels on purpose and running a marathon through their house at all hours. It feels like your house is a prison.

my apartment walls are pretty thin and the couple downstairs will have loud screaming fights at least once a week, at any hour of the day or night... i wouldn't say it's annoying but it's kind of entertaining sometimes, other times it's really worrying or even scary. they really need to break up.
it makes me grateful that my own relationship is healthy.
anyway, i have limited sympathy for the rich (which this person clearly is if they're living next to such a famous person) but imagine paying that much for a place and having to deal with that. that's rough buddy.

when i was in college, i lived in a co-op house which unfortunately ended up being the "party house". they threw massive parties in the basement multiple times a week with the music blasting at levels that shook the house, even though i lived on the 2nd floor it was impossible to sleep on those nights. probably was a factor in me failing out of that school.

Living with inconsiderate neighbours is the worst, and every time I see a fun dorm tour or whatever I wonder how awful it must be for people sharing the building because even the nicest, most well behaved quiet group will still make a ton of noise when they're living in quarters not meant to house that amount of people, not to mention they will be coming and going at all hours due to their weird schedules. Whenever it's a group of teenage boys especially...thoughts and prayers for everyone living within a 100 meter radius.

Just one dude living alone and in Gangnam though? Imagine being that rich and still not living somewhere that's soundproofed? Especially since so many places in Seoul are new builds? What the hell is this guy doing to be making so much noise, you'd think if he's a famous idol he'd be out and about and working all day!

Unfortunately noise (especially between floors) is a huge issue in Korean apartments due to how they're built and people get into fights that have even escalated to crimes like murder over it.

You'd think that exp ass apartments in Gangnam would be better than your average persons tho..

It sucks, but to me, it is what it is, being able to hear your neighbours is just a fact of living in that type of place and even in attached houses. There really should be stricter government guildelines with how buildings are built tho

OT but I used to live right by the old starship building but I had no idea for a while bc I was completely checked out of kpop at the time. Once I'm walking down the sidewalk and I happened to look over my shoulder and right behind me there's a pack of like ten skinny girls with a bunch of different hair colors shuffling up the block, they're all in sweats and slippers etc and clearly just rolled out of bed or got out of the shower but it was like the middle of the day. When my new upstairs neighbors moved in last year they were so loud, stomping around so loud it would wake me up at night. One day I had enough, printed out a note saying "the walls in our building are thin so it would be nice to not walk around like a fucking elephant" and pinned it on their door. i'm currently going through this. the guy who lives above me screams incessantly from about 5:00pm to midnight, every night. at first i thought it was a domestic disturbance, but i quickly figured out that he was screaming at a television/video game. he also likes to throw shit around his apartment during his tantrums. it took about 3 complaints to the strata over 2 months until they finally lettered him. now he just screams into a pillow (or something... he's still screaming but it's muffled now). fucking psycho.

currently going through this because i'm convinced the walls and floors in my apartment building are apparently built out of paper mache and prayers. my upstairs neighbors are SO noisy sometimes, like even during the day they'll be thumping around like crazy and screaming (sometimes i can't tell if they're just playing around or if it's a dangerous situation) so sometimes i just put my headphones on to try and block it out. but i've even gotten noise complaints from my downstairs neighbors and they've confronted me even though all i do in my apartment is just...sit around? aside from when i'm cleaning i never do anything in my apartment but apparently i have heavy footsteps, lmao. but for awhile i could hear someone in my building singing loudly between midnight and 3 am at least once a week and i came to find out he lives two floors below me.

i feel like a lot of buildings are barely soundproofed in korea. i've stayed in so many airbnbs where i could hear every single thing and i'm sure the other people in the building could hear me too.

I used to live in a place where a girl on the floor above me had the godawful habit of repeatedly singing "Imagine" (no it was not a celebrity) at the top of her voice and horribly off key and it was not until weeks later when I ran into one of the neighbours in the hallway that I found out half the people in the building thought it was me.

Idk if the walls in my apartment are thin or my neighbours are just noisy af, because I can't understand how the hell I can be hearing someone from like the floor above me yelling into her phone...Which she does every single night for hours. I have no idea why she needs to be so loud and who she's even talking to, but I don't need to be hearing her conversation. Then the guy in front of me turns his TV volume up extra loud to the point where I can hear it from my living room.
