“You Still My NO.1! 🥇” is a poll series and promoted singles discussion for female artists! It’ll be for girl groups with some solo artists sprinkled in (like BoA, who inspired the title!).

yaaaaay omg twice! i must admit after ooh ahh, a lot of their tracks didn't resonate with me (although yesterday i listened to TT and was like.. why didn't i find this a bop when it came out? my only gripe with the song is that it ends quite suddenly)

my favorite song of theirs is i think fancy because 1) it made me pay attention to twice 2) it is a timeless bop 3) i love chaeyoung's outfit in the mv 4) it's still on heavy rotation for me. but feel special is a close second or even tied because it got me through a difficult period at work and i love the message of the song and the mv a lot, the whole concept is so coherent — i just don't listen to it as often anymore because it gets me in my feels lol

this is so tough!! i voted for fancy but it was a big toss-up between that and likey for me, lol. likey was on rotation for a long time when it came out, but fancy was when their music started turning more ~mature~, so that's why i voted on it :')

heart shaker/what is love are some favorites too but i always get them mixed up. they just sound too similar 😂

also like, i can acknowledge that it's not an objectively great song, but i get hit with a nice nostalgia trip whenever i hear cheer up tbh. that was the song that got me into twice! so i'll always appreciate it to some extent.

btw did y'all see that feel special is in the new taiko no tatsujin game? pretty much guaranteed me opening my wallet for that one, lol.

My top 2 are I Can't Stop Me and Feel Special. The only reason ICSM edges Feel Special out of a win is because of the faster tempo. It feels like a song you'd hear in the trailer of a action film about Magical Girls.

how am i supposed to choose!! all twice titles (except more&more, dtna and alcohol free lol) are all easily some of my favourite songs ever. i'll pick a less popular fave again and say what is love because i do love it and i feel it isn't spoken about as much, it had cute choreo and i loved the mv but icsm.......or feel special.....or fancy.....it's too hard! even knock knock i went through a period like 6 months ago where i rediscovered it and played it obsessively even though i wasn't crazy about it when it was released i love it now. twice titles literally suit my musical taste to perfection this is sophies choice for me lmao.

Lemme be contrarian for a sec and say that Heartshaker is one of my favourite title tracks and Alcohol Free is also shaping up to join her. 👀 they just fill me with so much serotonin.
If we’re going to go with Twice’s MOST popular TTs though, I’ll say What is Love truly has it all. WIL and Fancy are neck and neck but What is Love has the most amazing mv (literally wrote a short essay on it lmao) so it edges it out!

It's a hard choice between fancy, likey and what is love for me. I can't stop me does come close tho.

Fancy ultimately won because while I always liked twice that was made me go from liking them as a group (but being slightly frustrated with how save and non experimental jyp was being with them) and then fancy came out and changed all that. It truly was everything that I ever wanted from Twice.

It's also just the ultimate bop. I still listen to it all the time. It's so good. If it comes on shuffle I almost have to listen to it at least one more time. One of my fav kpop tracks of all time tbh.

And it's just one of those songs where I just knew I would love it from the very first seconds that I heard from the song. Instant serotonin every time I listen to it.

sooo hard to choose... i had to do it tournament style and match each song up against the others. for twice, the mvs, styling and overall vibe of the era are so important that i wasn't even sure whether to vote based on those factors or just the music itself.
in the end, i went with more & more... what can i say, i love an underdog and i think that song doesn't get enough love. it's on the weirder-experimental side for twice and i always end up loving those kinds of songs the most. plus the aesthetics of the whole era were just Perfection. trippy colorful garden of eden. love it.

I went with Like Ooh-Ahh because it's honestly such a bop to me? Likey almost made #1 because that was the first single that I actually paid attention to the release of... but Like Ooh-Ahh just edges it out for me with the MV. It was just a lot of fun and showcased some of the girls' personality more. I like the butt wiggling move in the choreo. Those plaid outfits were fire. They may not have had a full-on "identity" yet, but I find that a lot of their later songs have so much filtering that the girls all sound alike, and the dances start to look messy because there are so many people doing it. Still good songs sometimes, but almost overly polished for me.

Literally everything from the MV to all the outfits and choreography was absolutely perfect, and it was catchy on first listen. god, this is SO HARD!!!! i spend a lot of time when i'm home with youtube playing on the tv - i'll just play a video i feel like hearing/seeing and then let the algorithm throw what it wants at me. twice is legit the only group i follow that don't have a single song i'm sometimes not in the mood for and skip. my youtube 2021 recap told me i listened to 6000+ minutes of twice over the course of the year...i genuinely don't think they have ever missed, title track wise lmao.

i voted for fancy tho. i do think it's my #1 if i absolutely had to choose. an instant mood-lifter no matter what, it's just so good and the mv, choreo, performances are perfect. feel special is close behind tho, the mv makes me tear up sometimes if it catches me in a vulnerable mood lmao. i love every twice tt so maybe lemme focus on the ones that don't get as much love here or from fans:

-more & more: honestly maybe in my top 5? i really love it. i've seen the dance practice more times than any other dance practice from any act i think.

-signal: i get more obsessed with this one with each passing day lmao, i can see why ppl aren't into some parts but honestly i love every second of it and the mv makes me HOWL, it's perfect. the little alien ear bit of the choreo 💗 jjirit jjirit jjirit, jjirit~ i just love it. not everything can be explained!!

-alcohol-free: maybe my top song of last year, or certainly up there at least. conceptual perfection, transports me spiritually to the beach even when i'm walking to work on ice lmao. have watched every fancam of every performance, they were all glowing.

They’re my all time favorite group so I honestly love their discography, I can listen to all these songs without skipping even though it’s natural that I favor some more than others.

LOA is one of my top debuts ever, 2015 was one of my favorite kpop years but I wasn’t really expecting to get into new groups at that point but Twice really drew me in with LOA. Then they won me back over with the ridiculously catchy TT. So many great songs since then! Reviewing their discography they really have so much variety and I’m well fed.

But while SNSD I had more to ponder over who to give my one vote, TWICE it’s much clearer: Feel Special & I Can’t Stop Me. Feel Special really resonated with me since I saw 2019 was a hard year for them and reading the lyrics, yes I got emotional lol. But it’s also exactly what I want from kpop in term of aesthetics, choreo, catchiness, etc. I Can’t Stop Me is such a fun song, I’ve replayed it excessively haha. Also it felt like the last ‘big’ kpop era that I was fully invested in. The song gives me what I crave in kpop.

…but ultimately I have to give my one vote to Feel Special since it’s my most played song ever so I have to!

for me the definitive single is TT. I debated over TT or Likey as I liked them both very much, and they were the singles that locked in my interest for Twice. But TT won because of its themed MV and also Likey had too much Momo (I think it started by Signal where her voice was grating but yea she had that supposed killing part, which in the end people seemed to prefer the chorus as the killing part instead?). also I didn't like MIna's part in Likey so TT was it.

while I appreciate the mature sound they had for Feel Special and I Can't Stop Me, the best Twice is with bright songs. (Fancy doesn't count as a mature sound because only visually was it mature, but the song was too damn high)

Oh god this was another hard one. I went with TT because its like Genie for me. A perfect iconic song. I've played the fuck out of it. But man I also really like LOA, Heartshaker and Fancy....and a ton of the other ones lol. TT is THAT SONG tho. Its amazing. Every time it comes on its my jam.
