Oh My Girl’s Binnie Changes Stage Name

Oh My Girl’s Binnie has changed her stage name to Yoo Bin.

On January 19, WM Entertainment announced that she will be using this name going forward, stating, “Oh My Girl’s Binnie will change her stage name to Yoo Bin and continue her diverse activities.”

The name that she is now using comes from her real name Bae Yoo Bin.

The former child actress debuted with Oh My Girl in 2015 and has been loved for her trademark shoulder-length hair, sweet looks, and strong vocals.

She also received recognition and praise for her roles in the film “A Time to Remember” and the web dramas “Ghost House” and “Sometoon 2020.”

I'm guessing that this will be because she's looking to move more into acting again? I know she was a child actress. Binnie's a cute nickname but I can see how she'd want to leave it behind as an adult.

I'm assuming for acting or for a solo? I don't know how strong she is singing wise. Either way, I really liked Binnie. It makes me think of bunnie and it's so cute.

i can see why she'd want to change her stage name, but at the same time Yoobin/Yubin is such a common name. ah well.

(also, i've seen a lot of fans use binnie for astro's moonbin, and let me tell you the annoyance i feel when i click on smth expecting oh my girl!)
