This song is so important. It was one of my first introductions to khiphop back in the day and I think I cried like a baby when looking up the lyrics. I’m happy that Mirae is proud of her mixed heritage especially in the face of a ton of anti-blackness and Asian discrimination and then even the message of nobody stopping you and your dreams is something everyone needs to hear. She’s an icon 😩

Mannnn I just love Tasha she's the main reason I even know who Tiger JK is and I'm so glad she's finally getting her dues she's a pioneer for real. And you can see how much the children related to her for different reasons, the fact that they even have to deal with their own worries and insecurities is a crime and this is why having diverse voices is so so important.

I love T so much and I adore how JK is always saying she's so much more talented and deserves to be so much more famous than him. As a fan, sometimes I wish she was more active, not only for her musical talent but also for her perspective and voice. But I get the feeling she's not very conventionally ambitious and is just happy to make her music with her fans and her people, and ofc she should do what she wants

That's a very interesting perspective actually. While I always root for her, just the fact that she's had this much longevity is surprising tbh not only as a female rapper but also just as a biracial artist in SK music industry where female rappers are really rare and she started out at a really rough time so I think that might be why she's like just chilling. She was in the project with Hyori and Rain this summer and then just with her label with JK that has Bibi and other artists. I do wish she would do more interviews just to get her perspective on things but I feel you to in terms of having more content from her 😭

Oh yeah that’s definitely part of it, she’s had a very rough time in the industry. And she and JK have gotten shafted and exploited so many times by management/business partners, definitely when she was younger but even recently. IIRC that’s why they had to quit the agency they set up and and start over with their current label, they got scammed by the person who was managing it with them. So I think she doesn’t want the stress and risk of being 'bigger' and at this point is content to make her music on her own terms and try to make a good environment for newcomers like Bibi. I totally agree though that just her status and longevity and the respect she commands in the industry is very valuable all on its own. But at the same time, she's such a generational talent, I just wish we got to see her more 🥲
