Date: 2021-12-31 09:40 am (UTC)i hope everyone that celebrates xmas had a nice one! we had some financial struggles this year so ours was pretty low-key. we mainly all got lots of chocolate 😂 i can't believe it's new year's eve already!! it's been really warm this week, we even had a few tornadoes in the state last night. there's another threat of them for saturday, and then we're expecting snow flurries by sunday night... one extreme to another for the new year.
i got back into playing shin megami tensei v after not touching it for a few weeks thanks to pokémon, lol. needless to say i've been super into SMT V even if i haven't played any of the other ones. i've already made it to chuo city 😅

Date: 2021-12-31 10:16 am (UTC)I've been on the countryside with my parents and I've been going on runs through the snow, and even though I can handle it, my shins apparently can't. I think it's the uneven terrain. After it snowed some more it became a little more challenging to run. I've never had this problem before but the inside of my shins ache a lot and walking down stairs is a killer lol. I think I have to stay off of running for a while.

Date: 2021-12-31 10:24 am (UTC)As a parting gift 2021 gave me covid, I got a notification for a positive test result just after midnight. I'm 2x vaxxed and have no pre-existing conditions, so I only have a very mild cough. Might've had a slight fever but that passed in like a day. My symptoms started very early in the morning and I worked an evening shift the day before so now I'm scared I might've accidentally given it to the other people working and I feel like crap thinking about it. :(
Also I just spent 4 days during the holidays holed up in my apartment with absolutely no problems but now that I have to quarantine just these past 12h have been feeling really long lmfao I'm screwed.
In the past week I've binged on dramas, I watched Extraordinary You (Rowoon is so pretty I want to cry), A Love So Beautiful (only because of Yohan, wasn't necessarily a huge fan of the plot), The Silent Sea (E2 was my favorite but with a name like that his fate was sealed from the start) and I just started Hellbound (Yoo Ah In sounds a bit like Tsuda Kenjiro and I'm here for it)
I'm considering rewatching Kingdom next. Or I might end up in a youtube rabbit hole. We'll see...
I haven't paid that much attention to k-pop/k-ent/omona in a while, has there been anything juicy but not too depressing going on lately?
Also using that excuse, not sure if OP is quitting for good or just hosting the FFAs but thanks for everything you've done!

All of my tests have came back negative (I got teste each times just to be safe). If you both followed safety guidelines, you all might be ok.

It's complicated when his character is questionble lol (f.e. Golden Kamuy). But I just cannot help it, his voice is just so nice to me.

Date: 2022-01-01 01:56 pm (UTC)Tatsu was the perfect casting, when I heard they were doing an anime adaptation of The Way of the House Husband I was like "Either they do Tsudaken or I'm not watching" lol And when I was watching Jujutsu with my (male) friends they all thought that my husbando would be Gojo, but no, there's only one in that series and it's Nanami and it's not even close. I wish we'd get some ovas or a spin off that is just Nanami being bothered by Gojo, because he's not enough in the series so far T.T

And for Momuro I don't find his voice particulary remarkable, but they way he can make performances so much fun. Like, I don't think anyone else could have made Steins:Gate's Okabe as much fun as he did.

There was this one episode where he trolls the shit out of Kaji Yuki. And I think with him it's more of a natural on the fly type of humor ad-lib type thing which makes it the best. To me he def made the role of Death the Kid from Soul Eater, Tamaki Suou, and Ling Yoa. Especially Tamaki. idk if there's a voice actor that could ever have done justice to Tamaki like Mamoru Miyano.
Kind of on topic, but who's your fave women VA's? Mine is Kotono Mitsushi, Megumi Ogato, HanaKana, Aya Hisakawa and Yukari Kokubun. Although shout out to all the VA's of Higarashi series. I watched recently and was blown away by the VA's.

If you don't play games she does Mine Fujiko on Lupin III, Celty on Durarara!) really stand out to me. I also really liked the girl that did Jolyne's voice in the new JoJo season, Fairouz Ai. I believe she's quite new to the scene.

Date: 2021-12-31 12:45 pm (UTC)I stopped doing resolutions, but last year I set myself goals... and reached none of them lmao. So I'll extend the goals to 2022! I'm adding a walk outside per day (even just to the end of the street) and to focus on nutrition/eating better. I know I've let myself slip into unhealthy eating habits again. I eat but not as much as I should, sometimes just one normal meal a day (instead of three) and it's no wonder I always feel so tired :( also not always picking the best choices... it's probably not the best but I'm thinking about getting a similar subscription as HelloFresh, a friend is doing it as a way to avoid grocery shopping too often, I think having small portions set up for me with recipes will help me get back on my feat with cooking for myself.
But! there are good news!!! My new coworker, the one set to work with me (we've been trying to hire someone since June...) and slowly get half of my workload is starting next Tuesday :D I'm super happy and excited. She'll need training but I'm confident, and I hope next year won't be as hectic as the last months of 2022 lol.
I had a nice Christmas with my close family.
And it's party-time tonight!!! My test this morning came back negative so I feel safe going to my friends for NYE. I'm not even sick but I don't want to risk anything. I'm very nervous honestly but happy that I'll end this year, and debut the next surrounded by friends. 10 people, lots of food and wine, cosy talks. I won't see kitty cat until the next day though aww.

And I just want to share...my country suddenly have this great hatred towards this girl who came from the US and used her "connections" to skip quarantine and party at a popular place. She's found to be covid positive and those she went party with were infected. The audacity to brag that she used her connections so she could celebrate Christmas/New Year with friends and family. How irresponsible. The quarantine facility initially lied but the gov agency showed them proof (from tiktok, IG) that the girl was out. With the cases going up again, its just not funny.

My brother organised another car for the move from his best friend. We‘ve been able to move about half of my stuff today. On Sunday we‘ll continue. Idk if we will need three cars as planned.
This is my first very own flat, so there‘s much to do, but one can gradually settle in how one wants to.
