I feel dumb. What's an exclusive music video and why are these all being released suddenly? Are they like Patreon content music videos that you normally have to pay to get access to?

Basically they were exclusive content for the Universe app so prior to this only the short versions were available on YouTube, you had to download the app to watch the full version

Universe is basically a catch-all idol content app, each group that’s under contract with them gets their own variety series, podcasts, photoshoots, music & mvs, even private messaging services kind of like bubble and ‘support’ events etc. It’s all exclusive to the app and users have to subscribe or buy ‘tokens’ to access most features (fwiw the UI is deeply terrible, it’s like shockingly bad for an app that’s run by a software/game company lol). And they’re branching out into live-streaming with online concerts and showcases and stuff, probably going to try and take over for VLive now that it’s shutting down soon

Oh wow. That sounds like a massive content company. It sounds almost like they are the management company rather than the idol's actual company. If they do all that stuff.

Oh yeah, they’ve got a lot of stuff. But I doubt they’re in charge of creating everything, I would guess Universe mostly provides the tech/platform and leaves a lot of the creative stuff to the agencies or third-party studios

cool, i wonder if this means there will be no more exclusive mvs? or will they have another batch of exclusives next year and then release them at the end of the year?

ugh, it's still so awkward how they cut soojin out of last dance. i wish they'd just left her in and let it be her 'last dance'.

I think for Last Dance it came at the height of Soojin's scandal, so they couldn't risk having her in. And I believe Universe has a deadline for the songs to be released so they couldn't postpone it. it was quite well done cut in that while she didn't have solo scenes it seemed the best they could do

finally the full MVs are out officially. why is D-D-Dance still in 1080p though, I missed nothing from this release and the screen record versions on YouTube previously. at least Let Me In looks so much higher quality, loving the pairings they did
