for some reason this seems to have a bit of the lead/title track sheen to it despite being a b-side, at least to me? usually when fans talk about b-sides that should've been leads i almost never understand it because most singles have this lift to it that makes it more marketable and understandable as to why it was written as the single, sometimes b-sides can match it but usually not. this one has a bit of that vibe to it, but maybe i'm just biased as a huge niziu fan lol. it still sounds like a b-side but it makes sense as a fan song. i do think it's just a bit generic though but maybe because it doesn't have the usual colorful peppy bubblegum kpop whatever polish to it, or at least not much of it
also is it just me or does this feel very hello!project reminiscent???? i could just be reading into it too much (again, as a big niziu fan, and also an h!p fan) but man the bounce in the beat and the chord progression running through the verses and pre-chorus has that fluffy h!p sound all over it. specifically it reminds me of berikyuu's warmer singles, especially berryz, but it also reminds me of 8nin c-ute, though the latter might be because of the mv. but even the mv feels sort of h!p-ish, just with a lot more budget lol. the close up member shots immediately scanned as h!p to me. again this might just be me reading into it too much but ah well lol
besides the h!p comparisons it's a really fun track! definitely has that general jpop vibe to it, a lot more so than most niziu songs. fan songs usually don't work for me because they usually end up too sappy and arbitrary/disingenuous (as if anything idol can be that genuine but you get the point hopefully lol), but i like how this feels very grounded and lively, and could probably pass as an ordinary fluffy (not in the negative sense) track for a group like niziu, besides the lyrics probably. i also really like the mv! reminds me of some of the quieter/calmer moments in poppin shakin, except expanded into a whole mv. just comforting stuff all around, fitting for a fan song. speaking of the mv i'm probably going to make gif icons from this sometime over the weekend lol
ahhh this is a lot but tl;dr i really like it haha
