I need to get back into Doctor Who. Moffat soured the series for me. The show seemed so devoid of charm during his run. I did love Capaldi's Doctor (already loved him from The Thick of It series and he seems so sweet), and I did enjoy his last two seasons. I was looking forward to what he could do without Moiffat's writting getting in the way, so I was really sad when it was announced that he would leave with Moffat ;__; I still haven't watched his last episode.

My friends are rewatching the whole series with another friend that has not watched it before (I joined for a few episodes but my internet connection is really bad atm). So I should join in when they get to the part that I haven't watched.

i finished 'piranesi' by suzanna clarke this week and i would highly recommend!! it was mysterious, magical realist and at times good dry humor and made me think a lot while being very accessibly written? i loved it!

according to my book app i'm behind one book on my reading goal.. don't think i'll make it even though i was not very ambitious this year :( but to be fair i read some bigger books this year. how far are you behind?

I only got two trick-or-treaters this Halloween, so they were allowed to take big handful of candies but I still have way too many candies just for me to eat lmao. Two kids around ten and their parents (all dressed up!), they were super nice and the kids really played up the witches disguise. But I expected at least my neighbours with the superactive little boys to try trick or treating or our level (not that they need any extra sugar intake lmao they're still SO HAPPILY LOUD), but I guess they do not celebrate Halloween. It's not a big thing in my country anyway.
So I'm ready to move on to the next holiday!
I'm currently re-doing my Christmas Kpop playlist, it's almost ready ^^ Right now I'm more in Autumn mood but I want it to be done whenever Christmas spirit comes out. And I'm already trying to think of Christmas presents, unlike last year and the years before when everything was done last minute lol.

As for plans I have a "raclette party" this weekend with just my brother and me, aka we'll fill ourselves with melted cheese and potatoes till we can't eat anymore lmao I can't wait. Then the weekend afterwards has a bank holiday and I asked for PTO on Friday so I'll have a five days break, including time to visit to a friend who bought a house outside Paris, that is something else to look forward to :)
Work is same as usual, very tiring and busy but rewarding so I'm holding on.

Kitty cat is changing her behaviour with the cold season coming up, she's always a lot more cuddly during the winter, and her fur is getting a little thicker so she's extra soft :) I'm really enjoying all the cuddles and purring <3 I feel always so blessed when she comes up and demand to lie down on my lap, even if I'm on my computer doing something ;__;

I had some kind of a small breakdown last weekend, the Halloween plans had fell off a while ago, but I suspect some of my friends still had a small party without inviting me (even though I spoke to one of them when I saw her one on one and asked about the new Halloween plans). I spent the weekend alone and it was hard, I was so anxious about being left out but also maybe being too needy and overanalyzing the smallest things? I'm still not back on Instagram to limit the FOMO so I don't know if a party really happened. But my new plan this weekend, besides seeing my brother, is sending a bunch of "help I have been distant because I'm not doing very well at the moment and I would love to spend some time with you if you'ld like to" to friends (not exactly that writing but that's the spirit) (also over text message and not whastapp so I don't get reading notifications lmao). It's hard because I know if I were in their place, I would be tired of a friend not giving a lot of life signs or involvement and I understand them not paying much attention to me anymore. I need to be more proactive if I want my friendships to go on :( Idk it's hard. From my birthday late September to around March it's always hard, my mind is racing but not for the right reasons. And it's so hard to navigate through relationships, I have a hard time putting my anxiety aside so I stay paralysed :(
Meanwhile I look like I have my shit together at work but relationships there are set with very specific rules and boundaries so it's easy, plus I get deadlines, I'm managed, etc.

I feel you about the friend stuff. Instagram is pretty toxic (and so is facebook) when it comes to FOMO. I get a lot of mom guilt because I see families in my friends group do these amazing coordinated halloween outfits and I just can't. I never even did couples costumes with my husband pre-kid. I want to but just don't end up finding time. But I think your text message sounds like a lovely idea. I have a LOT of those friendships where we won't talk for 6 months to a year and then be like, let's just have pizza a watch movies at your place and fall right back into things. Sending that text shows you are trying. so don't be hard on yourself. Especially with anxiety is can be difficult to NOT be hard on yourself. but you are doing a great job in just admitting it.

i'm sorry to read about your friend anxiety, i can imagine that must really have brought you down :( i would've felt the same i think. it's really difficult managing relationships, especially in a pandemic! i think sending some messages to friends and explain to them that you do miss them but struggle a bit keeping touch — if i would receive a message like this, i would understand (mostly because i also send out messages like this often lol)

I don’t typically focus on groups and companies I stopped liking but since I follow WEBTOON I’m unfortunately in the know regarding HYBE’s Webtoon/wattpad/nft thing and I know other idol companies have created cringey y/n web dramas etc but there’s something messed up about a company posting their own fanfiction on a famously y/n fanfiction site. At least it’s not ao3. I’m a little glad I jumped ship when I did.

i quit my job recently and am currently job hunting, i have 2 interviews lined up basically every day for the next week and the stress is killing me 😬 they're all online too which i hate because i hate being on webcam i can't focus when i can see myself talking so i havent done brilliantly in the ones i've already done either but oh well, at this point i'd be happy to see some rejections so i have less to do lol.

november is so dry kpop wise, i only have twice and maybe oneus to look forward to this whole month but it has given me a chance to revisit some releases i stopped listening to even though i liked them because i was distracted by too much new music. normally the thing i enjoy about kpop is basically always having something new to listen to but it definitely means i don't appreciate some releases as much as i should, this week i've been listening to sunmi's 1/6 mini a lot again and btob's outside mini which i definitely didn't listen to properly when it came out, i've been rewatching the outsider performances and enjoying them more now and i've been really loving the b-side traveler. i need to get out of the habit of obsessively listening to something for 2 weeks then never again lol.

drama wise, has anyone watched the start of inspector koo and enjoyed it? i got really bored half way through ep 1 and wasn't feeling it at all which is disappointing because i thought i would really like it based off the premise. maybe knowing it was supposed to be based off killing eve made me expect too much?

Good luck with your interviews! I'm going through the job interview process these days too AND I CANNOT STAND ONLINE INTERVIEWS even though it's safer and saves time... I just cannot handle seeing myself on camera and I am constantly adjusting my face to try to look less RBF in general lol.

Sometimes during long online meetings I have to conduct, I put a sheet of paper on the computer over where my face is (or my pencil case, or anything else I can quickly grab) just so I'm not looking at my face and focusing more on the other people and/or on the webcam itself. Because otherwise I'm totally looking at myself all the time lol. It's so distracting.
Remind yourself that the interviewers will probably be doing the exact same thing lmao, I went to a job interview this week (there's a job opening at my job to become my coworker, so I'm part of the hiring process) and it was so hard to switch focus from what I looked like to the person who was talking (either the candidate or my HR coworker).

Overall, good luck with the interviews! It's super impressive that you have so many interviews line-up, I never had a job-search week as intense as yours sound like!

i haven't watched inspector koo yet — kind of forgot about it but tbh when i heared it was based off killing eve i became a bit skeptical because i loved killing eve's first season but was a bit disappointed with the second and i haven't gotten over that yet lol, even though the premise of inspector koo sounded really good. how would you say the shows compare (if you can say anything just of having watched 1 ep lol)

I finally finished the 3rd Ace Attorney game... and that final case left me emotionally broken. The moment the judge is about to give veredict and Godot raises a final objection to point out that they still have to prove who the real killer was... I instanly was like "STFU!!!! WHY ARE YOU BEING LIKE THIS????" and proceeded to cry for the rest of the case ;____; I'm now on the first Great Ace Attorney game and my first impression is that I don't love the 3D models as much as the 2D designs from the earlier games. It feels less expresive/charming. But I'll probably get used to it. Everyone I know loved the 2nd game so I'm looking forward to getting to it.

I've also finally caved in and just bought the Animal Crossing DLC even tho I didn't plan to. I don't know if I'll even have enough time to play it between all the gachas I play... And speaking of gachas, I'm so happy that I got Thoma in just 1 x10. I was fearing that I would not get him and accidently get Hu Tao, who I don't want at all. Anyways... he's so pretty *heart eyes*:

In bad news, my PC broke down... again. I was panicking because the warranty expired just a month ago and the prices for pcs atm are ridiculous (just a couple of months ago I had to buy one for my brother because his had broken down and it was 1300€ T.T). But by chance I looked on the manufacturer's website and it said that I had a warranty extension of 3 months that came out of nowhere. I was so relieved. I hope that after repairing it this time it lasts long because this pc was so expensive and I have had so many problems with it.
