it's my birthday on monday (the 4th)!! if nothing catastrophic happens, i plan on having a small video chat w/ some friends that night. none of them live close anyway so it's not like i'm missing out on going out or anything, lol. i hope next year i won't have to be limited to a webcam :(
i'll be going to a botanical garden on tuesday w/ my family, so that should be nice!! still haven't decided if i wanna try the local BBQ or a thai restaurant in town for dinner tho 💀
any music anyone's been enjoying? i've been obsessed w/ the new chvrches album, especially final girl. i went through woodz's discography (thanks to the members who rec'd him!) and really enjoyed it. i've been going through mukai taichi's discography this week and forgot how good his albums are (savage (https://open.spotify.com/album/1LMdr4lg322bhMP9fgzoFG) remains my favorite); the man doesn't miss tbh.
my dog is doing much better with her diabetes! it's been a challenge. her glucose has finally been below 300 for the better part of a week. the vet said it's difficult to regulate in dogs, so it's not surprising to have a hard time with it :/ she's pretty much back to her normal self, so i'm really glad for that ♥

Woodz's album comes out on Tuesday. Depending on your time zone, it could still be October 4th, so some nice music to enjoy for your birthday! ;)
For my birthday, I was hesitating between two restaurants. My first choice was overbooked so we went with the second choice, but agreed we would go to the 1st restaurant later in the month instead, so it wasn't a disappointment!

Date: 2021-10-01 09:01 am (UTC)I'm watching Dali and the Cocky Prince too, which is shaping up to be a prettty cute show that doesn't take itself too seriously and instead fully leans into the craziness. I'm loving that. I've also started the J-drama 'An Incurable Case of Love', which is giving me the exact seem type of vibes! I rewatched the first half of Goblin recently and that's been great too, I need to pick back up on that for sure.

A friend suggested this doctor because he was the best, so I went and Jesus christ, he was so handsome I lost the hability to speak. He kept telling me to relax but I couldn't... I got too tense xD thank God for the masks
Anyways, Monday I've to go back, I got a really bad inflammation so that's fun 😑

Date: 2021-10-01 11:38 am (UTC)i've had a similar experience with a dentist! he was veeeery good looking and so nice that i almost couldn't focus, but the way he addressed me and my teeth was in a way that made me feel like a child (language thing, my language was not his native. he spoke quite fluently but probably did not know that the words he was using for me + my teeth were words you would only use for children. he was still hot and intelligent but being addressed as a child by him took away any form of ~sexual tension for me lol)

I do think she's a good dancer technically but she lacks imagination in her freestyle compared to the others which brings her down.

i went over to my friend's place yesterday to cuddle with her (chaotic) puppy and we watched the first episode of squid game. i enjoyed it! i was wondering though, i've seen it compared to sweet home as well. i've heard soooo many good things about that show by Trusted Omona Sources but i was afraid it was too scary for me. how would you compare the horror style/goriness/violence in sweet home to squid game? without any spoilers for both shows please, like i said i've only watched the first ep of squid game!

Date: 2021-10-01 02:47 pm (UTC)does anyone here having a marketing degree? i'm thinking about going back to school to get a bachelor's in marketing. a fair amount of credits from my first (totally unrelated) degree overlap so i have less pre-reqs to take but...i'm not sure if i should do it because that's even more debt to add to my student loan burden. at my previous job i was doing a lot of marketing stuff but everything i did was self-taught lmao, my boss would give me a task and i'd just figure out how to do it. i really did enjoy it so i'm thinking about going back to school for it so i can continue to work in the field.

the kahlo photos are soooo gorgeous! i love the textures in the outside shots. reminds me that there's an exhibition of her and diego rivera's work that i wanted to go see
