I've been this show's biggest chearleader from the get-go buuuut its starting to lose me there 😬 - I was not feeling alot of things in the 8th episode, everything from the introduction of a second lead, the whole (completely unnecessary) In the Soop show-within-a-show subplot, and another sexual assaulter???! Come on now show! This drama is at its best when it sells us the fantasy of living in a nice seaside town, showing us two people slowly fall in love as they get over their traumas, while highlighting the townspeoples' back stories. Ugh give me back the show I fell in love with 😭. Will continue watching though.

i know why do dramas always go for that sexual assault plot? i do appreciate that apparently dramas want to portray that this is a constant fear in the life of women, but since they often portray the sexual assaulters as 'weird' and 'deviant' and unknown people, whereas the majority of sa is done by people close to women, it feels like more of an lazy plot move to distinguish the good guys from the bad, even though in real life that's much more of a gray area

Episode 7 felt like a drag (side note: I loved seeing Hye Jin fangirl to an annoyed Du Sik but my god the DOS boys are the least charismatic idols I’ve ever seen — what’s a ~genius PD doing casting them for a variety lmao) but 8 had a lot of great moments imo!

I was so ready to be annoyed by the presence of another potential love interest propelling our male lead to act out of petty jealousy and THEN do something about the person he likes but I’m so glad it was Hye Jin who seems to be taking a lot of steps to get closer to Du Sik. And her leaving the kitchen in a mess and Du Sik’s reaction literally made me lol.

Is it bad that I wanted Yeong Guk to crack his head open 😶 He’s so damn obnoxious and can’t take a hint especially when his crush has always been one sided — and what Hwa Jung said basically confirms that either she or Cho Hui (or both?!) have feelings for the other?

I appreciate Namsook’s back story (I’ve been curious since the first? episode of her hugging the wand) but she’s still annoying and I’m glad Hye Jin didn’t just blindly forgive her and she stuck to her beliefs.

I need a Miseon in my life. And Hye Jin’s wardrobe.

i know the dos boys have 0 charisma!! i keep forgetting what they look like lol

i also really appreciated namsook's backstory, it gave more depth to the character. she's still annoying but i get more where she's coming from and she also has nice sides to her.

Guess I'm the only one who has no problem with the second love interest but that's only because I love the bromance! Those two guys are so funny together, I'm a bit sad to see Doo Shik take his distance from Ji PD :(

I love this show and it really makes me laugh a lot (which I needed after watching Squid Game all weekend ^^') but I really don't get the need for another sexual predator and I found it incredibly stupid to say that living in the countryside is more dangerous, like seriously?!!

Anyway, I was glad to know more about the old "love triangle" (though the guy is a dumbass, Cho Hui is obviously NOT interested) and about Nam Sook. Her story made me cry so badly, I hate to see sick kids, it always gets to me but I'm glad Hye Jin didn't forget her as easily and I hope they will all hold her responsible for her actions, it's not a blessing to let her do and say whatever she wants.

I also enjoyed watching Hye Jin fanboying over that idol though it's not something I understand especially from an adult woman (I'm more attracted to older men and don't see the appeal of those youngsters but that's just me ^^') and the cafe kid (forgot her name) is so funny! I wonder where they're going with those DOS guys though, they're not really interesting right now.

Oh and I agree OP, I also think the police officer is the lottery winner (either him or Doo Shik) and I actually can't wait to see more of him and Mi Seon!

Bora is so freaking adorable! I hated when her dad said that she's difficult or something like that :(

i really enjoyed these episodes again! i'm not suuuuper into the tv show storyline but i do really like that dusik and seonghyeon seem to enjoy each other's company a lot but see each other as rivals too. they are similar and different characters at the same time and i like that they're both overall nice people. seonghyeon has to realize though that hyejin is not into him lol but he is very persistent and determined in all aspects of his life including his love life... but take the hint dude. i like the chemistry between the leads, it's a nice set-up for opposites attract.

love hyejin's fangirling! so relatable lol and i loved that she called out the victim blaming police officer! as mentioned above, the whole sexual predator story line is a bit lazy imo

i got kind of annoyed at yeongguk wanting to get with his ex-wife/ hwajeong's friend chohui! even though you're divorced you just don't do that

i also love miseon and the police officer, who definitely won the lottery!!!

I love Miseon and the police officer story. The fact that he remembers she wanted to eat the chicken and bought her that with the lottery winning is so sweet. I lol when she used her expensive face mist for the flyer and he asked her to spray more on. I think he won the lottery too and probably put it in a savings account or already spend it on fixing things in the community already and no one knew about it.

I need to know more about Du-sik's back story. I don't want the show to drag it on longer than it needs to be.

Oh wait why did I think the lottery ticket was won thirty years ago?? Did they mention when it was won? I thought perhaps Du-sik's grandpa won it, and left him all the money, so the plot twist is that he's super rich and does all these multiple jobs simply because he likes helping the town people.

I think it was 3 years ago, because Yun Kyung said she sold the ticket right?
