I’m feeling frustrated with the back and forth between our two leads, it feels like it’s always back to square one and it’s because Hye Jin “hasn’t changed” her ~mean city girl ways. Which leads me to my next point — I’ve seen a lot of discussion on twitter about how ‘insufferable’ Hye Jin is as a character while Du Sik is obviously perfect. I do feel it’s quite an unfair character assessment because Du Sik seems to get involved a lot in things without consideration for how Hye Jin feels and when she doesn’t appreciate his involvement, she’s seen as ungrateful etc.

On to the positive: I like the unexpected friendships in this show and I hope it continues to be a recurring theme. Like Hye Jin and the kids, Du Sik and Sung Hyun (pls don’t be predictable and make them enemies~). Hwa Jung and Cho Hui were clearly friends in the past so I hope we revisit that, and a possible budding friendship with Hye Jin/Mi Seon/Cho Hui.

And Nam Sook is sooo annoying can we please see less of her.

Lmao I lost it at the song contest when they're like "Wow what can't Du Sik do!" when he looked like an absolute fool and you had Hye Jin giving it her all for a kpop dance cover.

I am here once again to proclaim my love for this show LOL!

Okay, my theories so far:
- In those 5 years he was away, Du-sik had a wife and son. That picture he was looking at was not of him as a baby and his mom, buuuuut it was his wife and kid who probably died in a tragic accident hence the trauma/nightmares.
- I bet Cho Hui had a decades-long crush on Hwa Jung all along. (lol will this show go there.. donno)

Also, Hye-jin was all of us reacting to Kpop groups 😂. I appreciate them showing a grown woman who loves kpop.

your first theory could be really interesting?? I was thinking if his family was murdered what with the bloody hand in his dream. not to mention everyone around him always makes it a point to say he’s perfect but he isn’t married yet which makes me wonder if it’s hinting at smth

i am still really enjoying the series, it's really light and fun! like i said last time and like the comment above says, dooshik is still a bit too perfect so i'm hoping we'll get to see a bit more layers to his character, like we're slowly getting for hyejin too. i am still in love with both of them

i particularly liked ep 6 with the song festival!! the two elderly ladies performing reminded me of a , the festival in general gave me huuuuge eurovision vibes

i also cracked up at the boy band group's name DOS and the fan group name Hacker 😭 so clever

the gossipy vibe in the town made me laugh soooo much too such a mood dooshik truly is a local celebrity lmao

i'm curious what the elementary school teacher + the fish restaurant/real estate lady's relationship will be, hope they'll become good friends

Specially when Doo Shik was walking around with the lady and every time they move to a different place, it immediately gets reported to the chat!
yessss this was my fave part! such a mood lol basically village dispatch

love this show tbh, it's so much fun to watch.

am i the only one not bothered by dooshik's "perfection"? i think it's played up as a comedic aspect in the show, right down to him holding multiple certifications and a small hardware store in his backpack LOL. when they villagers were like BUT HE WENT TO SNU i started dying laughing---of coursseeeee he did. he's very much a "town hero" archetype and i look forward to the breaking down of that facade as the series continues.

and as a bougie bitch myself, hard relate to hye jin LMAO. i like how she's not particularly concerned with being liked either. and while i think she was being bratty about the kiss, i really love how dooshik took it upon himself to smooth things over bc it shows how much he values their friendship.

potential second lead guy has a romance with dooshik in my head, it's been a whole ass BL since the moment they met. when it was revealed that hye jin knew him that was just extra drama on top, here for it. i would love to see dooshik off balance for a bit.

LOVE the townsppl and how nosy they are and supportive of one another they are, i mean truly they're all such great characters and the song festival highlighted that.

i find Doo Shik being so perfect and wholesome, as unrealistic as it may be, refreshing and nice to watch. it makes it more fun somehow, i think. although i love that they're adding a dark aspect! the nightmares with the bloody hand?? ooooh i can't wait to know more about that

the villagers are so hilarious like when anything happens and they're all out spying and taking/sharing pictures, i was laughing so much lmao

i didn't like how rude Hye Jin was being to Doo Shik after their kiss, but i guess it was realistic lol i just felt bad for him and i kept wanting to yell JUST EMBRACE HIM, HE'S PERFECT!! it could be because i feel like i've been her and wish i hadn't overthought things so much and just road the wave to see where things went lmao just ride the wave girl, don't think!!!
