Hmm I thought it was for Navillera and Nevertheless? I know he said he lost some weight for Nevertheless, but don't think it was that much. You can tell he lost weight in-between love alarm and Navillera/Nevertheless because he lost quite a bit of fat in his face.

Oh wait. Was it for sweet home? That would make more sense because he was supposed to be skinny for the role, I think. 20 lbs is a lot if he did lose that for the role!

I haven't watched Mystic Pop Up Bar but I really enjoyed The Witch's Diner, it was a bit dark but not in a suffocating way and there were some fun and cute parts.

he's only ever been in like 5 things and out of those 5 he's only had a decently sized role in one so this isnt suprising lol. did you watch hot stove league? his role is really small in it but its the best drama he's been in, though the witchs diner is on my to-watch list. i am literally following his career because of his smile i'm shallow lmao though its the same with ahn hyo seop he's cute but the only thing i enjoyed from him was queen of ring with kim seulgi and that was 4 years ago now 💀

i didn't think i would like it at all as i have zero interest in baseball but i ended up really enjoying it!

i dont watch medical dramas because im a bit of a hypochondriac so the last thing of his i tried was abyss and i like both him and boyoung but it was not good at all. and same on his new one, sageuks are hard enough for me to get into and i didnt enjoy love in the moonlight at all either, this one appears to have fantasy elements and stuff which for me usually makes historical ones more watchable but i'm not feeling enthusiastic about watching it at all.

kim seulgi is a star!!! shes so charming on screen it annoys me that she is not getting work but so many actresses who cant emote get lead roles all the time, she deserves a bigger career! i think the last bigger(?) role she had was in find me in your memory but i never watched it because i didnt like the moon gayoung and kim dongwook pairing like they're 13 years apart and it really shows.

exactly, even just based on her character description someone 30+ would have made more sense it was a weird choice. he looks so much more natural acting alongside seo hyunjin in their latest drama.

i think she did snl so long ago thats probably out of most peoples memories but yeah i think height/appearance is sadly the biggest factor to not hitting it big. like park boyoung is the same height but fits more into the specific beauty standards they have for actresses so people are more willing to overlook her height. it sucks because she really is so charming and magnetic on screen and doesnt get the chances she deserves whereas there are idols who cannot act who get big opportunities based entirely on their 'actor/actress-like' visuals.

Agreed. PBY definitely comes to mind as the exception. Besides her, though, I can't really think of another popular petite actress. Actually, maybe Kim Hye Yoon. She is also tiny and has been getting some good traction. I remember she said her height was a huge insecurity, and she felt like it really affected the amount of acting opportunities she was offered.

I don't know why I am commenting everywhere, I am sorry, but I think Kim Hyang Gi is super short too, and she had a couple shows in the last few years. But I think she was a child actress and is still doing youth shows, so maybe she will have a hard time as an adult.

I just watched a cdrama where they made constant references to the "tiny" "short" "childlike" "babyfaced" girl .... who is like 5'6 in real life and looks her age. Different country, but it made me crazy that they were elevating the idea of being tiny as charming while hiring someone who fit none of the physical description. (they cast Chen Xiao from WSJN.)

Ahh yes. Child actors transitioning to adult roles seems to be a bit of a struggle sometimes. Honestly, it is sometimes hard for me to see them in adult roles too. I know they are technically adults, but sometimes it just seems they aren't quite ready for adult roles yet. Like they're in that awkward in between stage. For instance, Yeo Jin Goo/Kim Yoo Jung/Kim So Hyun. For the latter two, I didn't like how they were paired up with much older male leads and trying to age up Kim So Hyun did not work well in her drama with Doo Joon.

And what...5'6 is not tiny/short! Unless the male lead is a super giant at like 6'2 or something
