The song is lacking something. Not in love with it on first listen. Minhyuk looks great as always. And I'm going to need an explanation and written apology from whoever decided to give Changsub a mullet.
When I first listened to it while watching the MV, I thought the song was a little busy bc the MV is all over the place (and conceptually too similar to Movie MV + their Blue Moon Kingdom perf), but I appreciated the textures of the song more while listening to the mini (which I thought was solid). I wish they stuck to Minhyuk's Sin City concept throughout since the vibe of his teaser was new for them.
It definitely doesn't seem like something they'd write for themselves, but I loved the transition from Eunkwang's chorus to Minhyuk's rap and the bass line switching up. The instrumentals kinda remind me Flashing Lights.
I also wonder how Minhyuk is doing. I can't imagine getting through such severe COVID symptoms that required hospitalization and then starting to promote again within the same month.
When Changsub came off so strong with the vocals at the beginning, I kinda knew I had to like the song. The song doesn’t feel too fluent, tho, but gives each of them a part to show off. Minhyuk’s sequence it’s not my favourite. Maybe watching more lives will change that.
I’m cackling at them goofing around covering Aespa’s Next Level:
it's very similar to what they showed in Kingdom, so I guess it's a good follow up while waiting for the other members to be back. I'm surprised they called themselves BTOB instead of a subunit, does this mean the other 2 members will get to perform it?
the vocals are good, but a little disjointed parts with the raps. Love Minhyuk's Toxic/Sin City scenes, but I didn't like the red hair. and hopefully he'll gain back the weight he lost from COVID
I'm late! I like the song! I know I'll enjoy it a lot more live tho. How many MVs based on movies have they made? seem like a recurring subject for them Anyways I love them
