You can watch it on Netflix

Have you watched this Omona? What are your thoughts?

D.P. is a heavy watch that deals with themes like bullying, abuse and suicide in the military.
It is not for everyone but I believe it's important to know that those things happen and nothing is being done to prevent them.
I truly enjoyed this drama despite being so angry and horrified at times. The actors are fabulous, the cinematography is top notch and the OST is fantastic too.
My only regret is that it's too short and so we didn't get much background on the main characters though I understand why the director may have preferred to focus on the 'present'.

If you don't know what to watch, D.P. is only 6 episodes and I highly recommend it (if it gets good reception on Netflix, maybe we'll have a second season *fingers crossed*)

ONLY 6 EPISODES?

That's interesting. I can't wait to watch. Jung Hae In has been teasing on his instagram so I'm curious to see him in this.

I added it to my queue, though goodness knows when I'll go back to netflix (I cycle through websites with obsession.)

It sounds perfect for a day I can't get off my couch, know I am going to nap, and don't want so many episodes to watch that I am going to stay up late.

ok so far me coming back weeks later — i started watching this the day before yesterday and could not stop! thanks so much for the recommendation again, this drama was so good! i think one of my favorites of this year, together with taxi driver.

i have never seen the korean military treated through such a critical lens, which was special, and it also offered great insight in how masculinity can grow more toxic in a military context. seeing the stories from different deserted soldiers was so impressive, and how their military experience was tied to their personal situations and socioeconomic background. i was shocked but not shocked at the same time how much physical violence and bullying takes place in that setting, even amongst superiors. jung haein and koo kyo han were so good at portraying their struggles being in d.p but also having some fun together. but wow, that last episode... was heavy even in the context of this drama.

i think i've read that they're working on a second season! i agree op, i would've loved to learn more about the background of the main characters!

agree with everything you said! i also would've liked to have gotten more context of the time period. it would be interesting if the second season could also go more into the politics of restructuring the military, which i believe they have been working on for a while — i think i read that soldiers now can for example bring their cell phones now?
