I don’t like it. BUT…that’s mostly because this beat is going one way and I refuse to follow it down that path. That being said: verse wise this was some of her better rapping. Third verse, Miss mama was in her little Telfar. I do wish there was a verse where she truly just dug her teeth in and got mean, but like okay. I never thought CL was a good rapper like that, but hey…I’m not changing my mind but good for her. I wish she found a better beat to go on though. Like I really don’t like this.
Visually…CL can get away with a lot (look wise) because she is a charismatic individual who had early branding thanks to [REDACTED] as a more fashion forward person. So again, I may not like what is going on, But any other idol I would have said looked like a plum fool crossed with a dumbass. CL just looks…yeah. Some of the dance scenes also show again: CL is more capable than a lot of her contemporaries.
CL is one of those people like Hyuna…charisma really can carry someone on something that would be considered terrible.
I just know that it's the kinda song I'll end up listening to a lot on Spotify because I have trash taste. She should dye her hair red, it looks really good on her.

At this point with CL’s music I’ve just accepted that it’s not my cup of tea but I keep hoping she’ll prove me wrong. I’m just glad she’s still promoting though.
I think her last ep was great and was definitely a step up from what she always did with YG. This however.... I like it, but musically and visually its DEFINITELY back to 2012 YG stuff. Its even co-produced by Baauer?!
she looks great, i love the red look. the whisper chorus is nice. the more i hear of cl's solo rapping the more i sort of have to think...she's clearly good at it but actually maybe i don't like it very much? she's capable of some really good stuff. her raps in I Quit, Rewind, they're all really good, but in long songs like this she just seems to run out of power really quickly. her first chorus really seems to drag to me. the english is SO cringey please cl stop rapping entirely in english i am begging you, the subject of the lyrics is SO GOOD but she just isn't good at crafting english lyrics somehow the beat is...whatever. i'm not mad at her for being experimental, i like seeing more and more ex-idols doing it. it's just not my thing.

The beep beat in the background is fucking annoying, if it was gone and replaced with another milder/less harsh beat the entire song would be more manageable but it's just nothing interesting.

The opening beat was so jarring, wtf. I don't like the song but I'm sure I'll love it by the end of the day, the chorus is stuck in my head. She looks amazing with red hair, I wish she had it in the rest of the video and not just those mannequin-like shots.
well, she looks great! this is preferable to that period of time where she was appropriating and miles ahead of jessi and jay park on that regard (though the scenes with the backup dancers in black berets and braids and all-black outfits did make me pause a little)
i'm not sure that cl is giving the asian rep she wants to be giving. the references to spicy food come off as shallow and i would have liked to see some more uniquely korean elements. but the song is getting stuck in my head despite feeling half-baked.
