I was thinking of replying this earlier but then I thought it might be too rude lol. However it just seems that everything she does, everything she wears and every song she released is just tacky?

And it's so weird because now I am thinking, was 2NE1 tacky as well? I mean up to a certain level yes obviously but it wasn't nearly that obvious back then. And this goes for all of them by the way, except Dara because she isn't doing anything interesting lol.

CL always dresses terrible, Bom looks like an 80s nightmare most of the time and Minzy only dresses well in her personal life. Bom releases decent music but it's very safe. I hate everything Minzy did so far, it's like she has no idea which direction she wants to go in. I really liked the mini CL released last time musically but I hate all of the imagery she uses.

personally, i was never a fan of either 2ne1 or big bang precisely bc i thought they were both tacky and tryhard, even within 2nd gen, so i'm probably not the most objective person on this!

i haven't really listened to minzy's work - what would you compare it to?

i think part of it may be the lack of freedom they had within yg - it would have made sense to let them figure out their own sound and style while they were still protected by the bubble of 2ne1 so that when they finally disbanded/went solo, they would have somewhere to launch from. yg really had a great thing going and then mismanaged them and left them to dry with only a 5 year run as a group

The mini CL released is a prequel to this Alpha album so you might like the other songs better than this one. Sadly this type of sound and look is what most fans want from her.

Based on everything she released since leaving YG, i’d say she has grown a lot as an artist. She said The mini everyone loved from back in 2019 is a prequel to this album. Sadly most people don’t check out her music unless it’s this type of look and sound. This is only the first song so i doubt her second one and the alpha album will all sound like this. Her recent music has been very good but sadly people don’t seem to care unless she’s doing this
