Just watched the full episode, and now checked out one of the videos and editing really makes a difference, as in, is X really that good, or do I only think so, because they showed that person a lot and I heard the judges say they were really good?

It might be better to watch the videos of the performance first before watching the episode next time to have fewer influences on my own thoughts. 🤔

I agree. Editing makes a lot of difference. It's why they say MNET is evil for this because they can make someone really stand out even if there's someone out there who's a lot better.

I still prefer watching the whole episode coz I like to see the process and see how they improve after the initial evaluation.

The ending fairy thing has become something that people are expecting and working on having a good expression for, I feel like we will never get those Jung Chaeyeon or Kim Doyeon moment again.

I hate Mnet for making me watch another produce series. the game at the start was a clear indication that Mnet is just tagging a new name for the same rehashed show.

Sunmi's comments and reactions are mostly on the point, and it's good that an experienced idol is there to give tips and constructive feedback. but I felt her comment to Sein pre-performance was so not needed, the girls are already stressed out and that definitely added more pressure. Tiffany is kinda not there and had little comments though, was it due to her musical and other filming stuff?

HYLT is still not a song I would willingly put in my playlist. both teams were clearly too stressed out that many mistakes were made, but Team 1 was still overall the better team, especially with Team 2's mistake at the 2nd chorus. Team 1 was pretty stacked with the talent, but damn at Yujin and Yurina doing girl crush concepts when they're not really here for it? Cai Bing kinda looks like Bora and while she made a mistake at the start and I spy some off beat moments along the way, she did shine in her own parts. the hill is so much harder to climb for foreign trainees since they probably only have a few days to practice for everything.
I like the edit given for Seungeun this time, with her dance and leadership highlighted. her voice also suited the song. hope she goes far!

YOY both teams were cohesive, it was really hard to choose between both. Doah was a better centre than Jiwon actually, but Doah's team wasn't as bright I guess. plus the main vocals in Team 1 were better I guess. Pity Xu Ziyin didn't fit this song or she could have more lines.

this is so late but the episodes are such a slog to get through

i liked both yes or yes teams, though the red team slightly more because of their vocals. between the edit that sein is getting and that previous clip of her saying smth like obviously the korean trainees would do better, i really wonder what mnet is aiming to do with her. she's not my fave by any means, but she seems really young and immature and to get that much negative screentime isn't good for her this early on. unless, ofc, they're going to give her a redemption arc later on?

how you like that has grown on me as a song, except for the bridge and ending, but i think some of the girls were out of place a little. shen xiao ting is so...boring to me as a performer but the stand out of those two performances was xia yan, i did not expect her to do that well when she ended up having to take the rap position!
