The whole song should have sounded liked the 2nd half and then gotten even more upbeat and hype. That's where Hyoyeon shines imo && she looked so pretty in the blue bra top outfit

Agreed OP, the song is bland cause it’s so safe. I wish it was more upbeat like Dessert, I feel like that song was just so her and suited her so well. This MV was so budget too, and the dance at the beginning of the chorus where they’re fast walking in place or whatever is so weird lol. Love the peach asymmetrical dress though!!

i haven't liked any of her solo stuff but i actually don't mind this its catchy, the english lyrics could have had more effort put into them and bibis part kinda kills the momentum but this is the most listenable song of hers for me. but i agree its bland lol which is probably why i don't mind it but it doesnt really feel like her?

I actually really like this. It's definitely different from everything else she released so it took me a second (lol) to adjust to it but if another artist had released it I think a lot of people would have really liked it, and honestly Hyo has enough energy and brightness to pull it off. It's reminding me of another couple of kpop tracks that I'm trying to remember the name of that I also like.

Oh no I've remembered! It reminds me a little bit of Lim Kim's Awoo (https://youtu.be/CXPADwU05OQ), just with a lot more energy. Just because that's something that Hyo doesn't normally release doesn't mean I can't appreciate it as a nice song, tbh. It's also a wise choice in that it really suits her voice I think, whereas sometimes with her harder hitting tracks the tone of her voice is a bit jarring. The dance break is really fun and fits in really well! The energy isn't completely out of place with the rest of the song though the harmonies in the bass are kind of jarring. I love the energy of the backing dancers too lol! So often in videos you see them just kind of doing it with no expression which, fine, they get told to do that, but I love what they're bringing here.

Bibi’s part was the best to me lol, this song was too saccharine otherwise. It would’ve been charming from someone else but I’m not really buying it from Hyoyeon. It just came off as dull.

That's how I felt as well. I like the raspy tone of Hyo's voice during the chorus, but Bibi's part was by and far my favourite. Wasn't a fan of the song otherwise

It's weird, I really disliked Dessert but the "you know what I deserve? dessert" part just can't leave my head, it's super memorable. While this is arguably a better song - it's chill but still lively, it's coherent, etc - but nothing really stands out either. The song could have been more but went the safe route. I'll see if it grows on me.
I'll check her performances though, the choreo looks fun!
