The first group failed. But the highlight for that grpup for me was the top C recruit. She's a good dancer but it wasn't really highlighted in that performance. She's a dance sports champion (they showed that in intro of the group in this episode) so its worth looking out for future stages from her.
Part of the rule (as I can remember) is that if a cell-mate doesn't make the cut, the whole cell is eliminated. They can choose to retain their current cell members or choose new ones (and I think it needs to be always composed of CKJ mix). The top9 girls gets to decide first if they want new cell-mates or retain their current ones.
Yeah there are more than 9 recipients. All I know is those who got Top9 stickers means they get the advantage of getting first pick if they want to form a new cell. Still not very clear to me at this point but we'll know more next episode.
They've uploaded like a low res ep 2 with English subs but I don't think its complete yet. But I've already started watching hahahaha and some perfromances has been uploaded on MNETs channel.
I watched it yesterday 😊 There are some strong contenders from Japan (the top 1) and Chinese rep who performed Snappin'. We're going to see more drama next episode. The upcoming mission (cover stage) has always been my fave in PD series.
The girls in the dorm part was cute, respect to the girl that brought her own curtains. They really want Kim Do Ah in the final line up. The other girls in her group were also very good but they barely got screen time!
I like this round but felt like they could have chosen better songs for most of the group's represented. Doesn't the planet pass nullify the live and die with your cell concept?
I feel that they will use the planet pass for the usual MNET drama and to save whoever the favorite is.
I like the confidence that some of the participants are showing. I find it refreshing to see them saying that "yes I expected to rank high" and "we can do better than them" instead of the usual answer contestants give out.
yeah i found out from reddit. now i'm done watching. but what's weird is that when i open iqiyi from google, i can't find eng sub. when i opened the link from reddit, the eng sub is there. it's never happened before when i used to watch idol produce.
Someone already mentioned it in another post but the vocals on these girls.... It's clear they need alot more training. I'm looking forward to them improving on the show but alot of improvement needs to be done. And like alot. I'm of a mind to make gifs of the coaches reactions to half of these butchered notes lmao.

i wanted to watch bubble pop by yujin but the video is basically 1.20 min of reactions instead of an actual performance :( hope she does well on the show though
The full performance will be shown on the next episode (I think) because the first episode ended with her blowing a kiss like on this video. And yeah, I hope she does well. Cheering for Yujin!
I totally understand. MNET has done a lot of bad things with their survival shows. Many will find it hard to watch. And yep, hoping for the best for Yujin.
December Girls & Cuties probably have the most potential. They could probably mash together & debut already. Visual Killer & Pallet Girls… need some work, but every part of me wants to root for the underdog lol! Is there anywhere to watch this with subtitles? The J-groups are better but it’s clear they didn’t bring any singers like that. That being said they had some standouts. That girl from the Fancy group in the teal shirt is making it to the end. The camera loves her and she seemed spotless as a performer.
The Korean groups were better overall, but it seems like less noticeable standouts than with the J groups.

The survival show addict me of course is watching this. Thank goodness the show is available at least on iQIYI with subtitles. Its like PD101 again but I'm still excited watching the performances.

I guess I'm one of the guilty ifans you're talking about. I really enjoy watching shows like this (PD101, Queendom, Kingdom, etc — I didn't get to watch iland tho). I mostly don't care about the rankings but greatly enjoy the performances/stages that I see each week.

well at least you're honest i guess. i still think supporting those shows and groups later (and i don't mean just financially, i mean streaming and all the noise fans are making) is just telling those ceos that they can do whatever they want because in the end no one actually cares. cool.
I wish the chinese/japanese groups would get to sing in their languages. They have more to do/learn compared to the korean groups as a result.
Also, Choi Yuna being on this show is still REALLY odd. She's actively in a group (yes, a dead one but still holding on). She's been debuted for so long. This isn't a revitalize show. It's a new talent show. I'm confused.
