Jang Hyunseung Leaves Cube Entertainment After 11 Years

Jang Hyunseung has parted ways with Cube Entertainment.

On August 3, Cube Entertainment released the following statement to announce the news:



"Hello, this is Cube Entertainment.

We would like to inform you that the exclusive contract with artist Jang Hyunseung has come to an end.

We sincerely thank Jang Hyunseung who has been with us for more than 11 years since 2009.

Once again, we would like to thank the fans who gave generous love to Jang Hyunseung and his activities as an artist, and we ask that you continue to show him a lot of interest and support.

We will always support the future of Jang Hyunseung, who has made a new start.

Thank you."



Jang Hyunseung debuted in 2009 with the Cube Entertainment boy group BEAST, and he departed from the group in 2016.

I have a theory that Hyuna/Hyunseung dated and hid in plain sight with Troublemaker. and then broke up (ending troublemaker which was successful and had no other reason to end).

Hyuna repeated the formula with Triple H but learned from her mistake by wanting the group to be a trio. And then she decided didn't give a crap and went public.

I agree Hyunseung /Dawn are similar so it would make sense if she has a type.

I think I read he got a lot of shit from netizen he didn‘t keep up „appearances“ (his father died around that time). They interpreted a lot into his reactions. Maybe he was just mentally exhausted from the idol life, too. That would be understandable. Maybe he needed a break / to wrap his mind around things.
I really enjoyed his cb last year. I think it was one step into releasing music on his own terms.

I don’t know what happened all the years along, one can only speculate, but I wish him the best that he’s able to do the things that makes him happy.
I wouldn’t mind if he released more music, too.
