I'm watching each week and still enjoying it but I do think a lot of the magic/chemistry of the first season isn't as present and they're kind of just "coasting" to some degree based on how much they know audiences love these characters. I think I felt it most strongly in the last 2-3 episodes where it felt like there were so many running plotlines introduced that never really get resolved before we switch over to the next staff member or some character quirk gag, mostly surrounding Ik-jun or food lol. Some central characters are completely forgotten when there are so many people to keep track of in bloated eps. It's a comfort blanket of a show anyway, but I do wish we had more meaningful interactions and tension between the main cast of characters again like in the first season. My favorite parts are the flashbacks since they flesh out their relationships a bit more.

One thing that does bother me is how quickly Jeong-won fell into puppy-dog mode in his and Gyeo-ul's relationship. What I liked about their dynamic in S1 was how differently he acted with her compared to everyone else which lent some dimension to his character. I wish we could see more build up to that level of comfort as a couple to show how they're both trying to navigate this relationship beyond just keeping it a workplace secret. Now he is kind of the same to everyone. I like the dynamic but I'm also not really rooting for the Seok-hyeong/Min-ha pairing just for the power imbalance. Also the noble idiot trope in the Jun-wan Ik-sun breakup...sigh.

Also like a few of the song choices this season so far but not as many standouts I think. I know how beloved some of these are but I think they made for less memorable performances.

yeah I kinda felt the same with Jeong-won/Gyeo-ul in S1... in general I think it's never a good idea to get involved with someone who can professionally reprimand you, but that ship has sailed. For Seok-hyeong/Min-ha, it's more questionable since he's her direct supervisor and mentor and has also firmly established and rightly reaffirmed his personal boundaries on multiple occasions, so I'm not too keen on the show having her character "wear him down" and framing it more as his own personal issues to get over rather than a professional one. I can't imagine this not being awkward in any real life working situation lol.

I still need to watch the first season. It's definitely a show i would enjoy, but the episodes are so long that i rarely find time to watch it.

I'm gonna wait for the whole season to be out before binging. but ugh seeing the comments I'm worried, since the relative lesser focus on romantic relationships was what made me like the series.
