i love it! its better than kura kura which i liked well enough but i didnt relisten to that often. also both the red outfits and the black/beige ones are sooooo good they look amazing. didn't love the weird trippy muted audio section in the middle though.
OH MY GODDDD where do I even begin……. The choreo, the formations, Mina’s parts, the outfits, the acting, men throwing fists over dubchaeng ….. this is a LOT TO PROCESS. Who could have predicted Twice having such a powerful image after watching Candy Pop all those years ago lmao. This is what happens when you have the RANGE and the VERSATILITY.
They couldn't give a less unflattering outfit to Jeongyeon even if they tried. The pants that are falling off of her and the jacket needs a proper belt to fit her waist. Where's the stylist I need a word!

IA they did Jeongyeon dirty. They should've given her Dahyun's cincher (if she was comfortable with that ofc) because it would've slimmed her some and made her look like she wasn't just given the biggest clothes to hide her body. She's nowhere near chubby but it doesn't seem like kpop stylists know how to dress anyone with a couple more pounds than usual, so they just put sacks on them. It's really insulting.
Yeah or maybe put all the girls in pants, a total military look because styling her so differently just catch the eye even more to her. Purple Kiss has the same problem with Swan, they dress her with a shapeless potato sack every time, it blows my mind how professional stylists don't know to dress different shapes (and these girls are still thin), it's their job! I hope it doesn't crush their self-esteem and force them to starve and that the others members support them.
Yeah, I mean in the red outfits the only other one in pants was Tzuyu but she had a fitted top so Jeongyeon still stuck out =( I worry about that with the girls too, like my instinct is to believe that they're totally supportive and encouraging of her but I know that may not be reality, especially after seeing how ENHYPEN treats Sunoo. I really hope they support her though, and same w/ PK and Swan!
They're constantly making digs at Sunoo for his weight (but he literally looks the same size as the others?? he has a rounder face though) like joking about him eating everything, his hands are chubbier than everyone else's, etc. I'll try to find the Twitter thread. They also seem to leave him out a lot or ignore him in group settings.

I can't stop watching it. It's so chaotic and fascinating. I love the song too, such a breath of fresh air after Alcohol-Free (which I do like, but I much prefer this type of song).
Jihyo deserves more center time, she is the best singer they have so she deserves the lines and the screentime , i liked the song more than Alcohol free but i also think it's too many things at once?? idk, i think i need to listen to it more, Jihyo looked fantastic in that black dress! i'm not that convinced with the red outfit, especially because i feel her neck looks short and the hair but the black dress look is perfect.
I feel like this is what Itzy's In the Morning and Aespa's Next Level were going for. But, you know, done right.

The stylists are doing their job for Jeongyeon. She gained a little weight during her hiatus and they're trying to find ways to cover her up so that she feels comfortable. However, with these recent comebacks and the girls showing a bit more skin it's hard to do so without her sticking out. The only era I'd say that happened pre-hiatus where the stylists did her dirty was Feel Special. Something truly odd was at work with that satin pillowcase.
I disagree, I think that while they have tried to accomodate her (though I would say it's not even that much weight to begin with...) she's regularly put in wide outfits that aren't properly fitted to her or shapeless which makes her stand out for the wrong reasons. The blazer she wears in this MV is too large, she also doesn't have a belt to structure the silhouette and her pants aren't as fitted to her body as Tzuyu's pants are for example. I think the black outfit did a better job at least. It's all little details and there are definitively better days but with time, I'm started to be annoyed by these little details :/
They will never truly top Kura Kura for their Japanese singles from now on but I like this! The visuals are great and I'm liking the song more after a few listens.
I’m obsessed. I actually could see this in my top 5 ranking higher than Alcohol Free 😲 I really like AF for different reasons, but this the type of sound I always want from kpop. This is so much fun! It’s so addicting. I saw a comment about it sounded like from the early 2010s and I agree. That’s probably why I like it so much.
It’s been fun watching fans ‘jaw drop’ over this release. When AF came out I saw mixed reactions overall (I think the overall month’s streaming numbers shows that too — when ICSM/Cry For Me came out late 2020 their months numbers were higher than this June, since I think some fans didn’t care for AF’s sound compared to ICSM) but this has a much more positive reaction so far. But their Japanese releases get much less streams than their Korean. I hope they don’t sleep on this one!
My overall thoughts on the past 4 titles and their MVs is interesting as they improved each time. - Fanfare: It’s cute and fun but I don’t listen to it often, it’s very much a once in awhile song for me. The MV is one of their worst imo. (That stupid laundry scene…) - Better: I like it quite a bit but not one of my favorites (something about the vocals or production in the chorus weren’t my favorite initially), although I definitely replay it quite a bit. The MV is an improvement on Fanfare by far but still rather uninspired and kinda bland. - Kura Kura: I really liked this one, but it’s not as addicting as PW. Both are great for different reasons, it’s just PW is so addicting! The MV is fantastic too, it delivers on visuals even though it’s still mostly glamour shots - Perfect World: Catchy as hell and already on repeat. MV is my favorite, quality dipped a bit from KK but the whole men weak to Twice’s existence concept is everything. This was so entertaining to watch, I think it captured what previous MVs were lacking
I don’t like the scene where they played with the audio for an effect that didn’t really work. I legit thought my headphones were dying till it continued haha! Luckily the streaming version doesn’t have that, it was unnecessary.
I really really like this! It’s fun and sexy and self-assured and I love it! things that were not good: the rap (my expectations just need to stay in the gutter for kpop rappers) and whatever the stylists thought they were doing with Jeongyeon

I keep seeing references to Mafia in the Morning for this song. Both songs are not that great but Itzy are much better performers and can actually elevate the song. Of course I still have to see Twice perform this live tho so I could be wrong
Also interesting to see people say they prefer Kura Kura over this since the MV post here was quite mixed reactions leaning negative. If Kura Kura grew on people I’m sure this will too lol
this is so much better than Alcohol Free. Fire literally. Jihyo looks 10000 times better with her hair in a ponytail. SAna is a gorgeous queen. Wow. I just. I really like it.
