EXO’s D.O. Confirmed To Release 1st Solo (op note: hopefully RnB) Album

D.O. is preparing for his first solo album!

On June 25, it was reported that the EXO vocalist is preparing to release his first solo album in late July.

In response to the report, SM Entertainment confirmed, “D.O. is scheduled to release his first solo album in late July.”

Although D.O. has released solo tracks such as “That’s okay” for SM STATION and “Crying out” for the “Cart” OST, this will be his first solo album.

Following his military discharge in January, D.O. has been filming for the movie “The Moon” and is confirmed to star in the Korean remake of the Taiwanese film “Secret.” EXO also recently released their special album “DON’T FIGHT THE FEELING.”

I know people want him to do R&B cause his voice suits it, but what kind of music does he personally like? I don't follow them closely so I don't know. I was suprised for instance when Suho did alt/rock for his solo.

Who knows? I don't follow EXO that much, but it seems odd to me that it's taken him this long to come out with a solo album. I really like his voice though, so I hope it is something good! I remember one idol said (IDR who it was...maybe Onew??) said that the reason why it took him so long to come out with solo music is because they themselves had a hard time figuring out what type of music they wanted to do.

I assume it took him long because his acting took off and he focused on that, and then he enlisted early.

Anyway it's possible he likes R&B too but I figured something too similar to Baekhyun's style might make their solos overlap? We'll see.

Back in the day exo/do/sm (bc never know if it's true) said DO was a r&b fan and there is at least one exo vid of him listening and singing to some in a car. But fans also said his high school band, or whatever, was more rock-ish.

I've been praying for years now that his first solo album is a RnB album and not a ballad album. I'm very serious about this, because this mans vocals need to SHINE and boring ballads don't do that!!!!
