I think my opinion is the same re: Bambam vs Yugyeom: their vocals aren't quite strong enough to carry a whole album. I was gonna say the b-sides are better than the title but I think All Your Fault is maybe one of the better songs on the album... all the songs kinda blend into each other. What do you think omona?

Also not sure what I think about this whole aesthetic Yugyeom's going with... give me more proper dancing! That's your specialty boy!

the difference between his mv and bambam's is killing me. I'm not mad at this whole heartbroken criminal (??) thing, but i can't take it seriously, he's only 3 years younger than me but i will always see him as a baby unfortunately (same with bambam and jk from bts).

the album isn't amazing or anything, but i think it's a decent first try? i find this kind of music pretty unexciting in general, a very background thing and that's how i feel about this album too.

I'll say again that he actually sounds better than i expected. his whine is clearly at 50% capacity :P

the title track is pretty good. MV wise he looks a little like Taemin here, and I'm not liking the aesthetics it's a little tryhard. I laughed when he came in and shot Gray.

live performance was not too bad, but the adlibs from the bridge onwards is a no. Yugyeom you're not the best vocalist please stick in your lane. surprised AOMG gave so much budget though, and Gray coming to perform too.

Running Through the Rain is nice my fave b-side. felt it was an example of how his voice can work a full song, as compared to Falling in Love, which I couldn't finish

I love Yugy but I’m not feeling this 😐 Like it’s okay, but it feels uninspired. I don’t think I’ll ever listen to Bambam’s song again tbh but he definitely knew what worked for him and played to his strengths. It feels like Yugy hasn’t really figured out what he wants to be or say post-Got7 yet and is falling into cliches

The thing is, music was never Got7's strength. JB and Youngjae are probably the only two who could vocally carry their own material and even they’re only okay compared to most idol main vocals imo. There’s nothing wrong with that per se, we all know musical talent is only one aspect of being an idol, but it really limits their output when they can’t rely on the synergy of a team or the top-to-bottom production and promotions of an idol agency anymore. So far everything all of them have done has been pretty inauspicious but it’s also not unexpected. I hope they’ll find more artistic direction and inspiration going forward and I think Yugyeom especially has a lot of room to grow as a performer and producer if he makes an effort.

Friend, Youngjae is not that bad! I think he naturally has a lot more than JB and seems to care a lot about developing his skills. He/They also complained a lot about JYP forcing Youngjae to sing a certain way, so maybe we'll see a lot more now.

Lol true, Youngjae’s not bad. He’s definitely the most technically capable singer out of them but personally I always felt like his voice was pretty basic and boring. JB’s not as “good” a singer but I prefer the sound of his voice.

I think my favorite JYP diss track will always be that story that I think someone from g.o.d (maybe Kim Taewoo?) told: once JYP was making him re-record the same thing for hours and hours, then he listens to the last take and tells him to do it again and change a bunch of stuff, before leaving the studio for a while. KTW is tired and pissed off so he doesn’t bother doing it again. JYP comes back in a few minutes, listens to the same damn take and is like, “Perfect, you did everything I told you to!” He is so full of shit 🤣

i haven't listened to bam's album yet but ribbon is kind of growing on me more and more! it's such a fun lil feel-good song and i'm happy bam is leaning into this sort of side of himself :') i'm watching his live performance of pandora as i'm typing this comment and hmmmmm i'm not convinced lmao

as for yugyeom, i agree on almost all accounts! i listened to his album on my way home earlier today and they do kind of blend into each other after a while! i was super duper looking forward to "love the way" since they first teased it and it's really one of the better songs on this album. i like "when u fall" too! i think my fave song currently is "all about u"... kinda wish that was the title track

also, now that he's a singer, i'm sad he can't go as hard with the choreo anymore :( i love watching him dance

finally listened and his voice does better than I expected, since I don't like his tone. But he seems less nasally/whiney than in Got7, and his deeper voice is huskier than I would have thought.

Basically, I don't mind this! I won't play it, but it's better than the 94 line has been doing. And I like Grey's voice, and he looks good, even if his skin looks like a doll's.

sidenote: I hear 'this is all your fault' and 'this is your fart' and it's not good.

he is such a scorpio, it always makes me laugh. i haven't listened to the whole album but his voice does sound a bit less grating than usual - partially because it seems like he's spending more time singing in a lower register? i'm pleased because he can be hard to listen to.

Im finally watching this and yes, Gray stole the entire thing. It's such a Gray song too, he is so good. I like the vibe of this but I feel like he never stood out to me in GOT7
