Listening to it right now and it's a good mini album, very cohesive. More on the chill/groovy side compared to Twice's usual albums, but it fits the season and they sound great. First Time is very flirty, I doubt they would promote it but I would love a concert live of it! Sandal's chorus is a little repetitive but I love the instrumental, super groovy. Another groovy track is Conversation! I think I like it best out of the two. Baby Blue Love is a quick favourite for me but it plays right into my retro biases lmao. SOS is gonna stay in my head forever I know it lol. Like Scandal, it's a little too repetitive but I can see it being a major grower!
IMO: - Alcohol free: pre-release (great summer track, although a it slow) - Scandal: TT - Baby blue love: follow up promo. Not a TT (despite my obvious bias) because they already did that
the album is really cohesive and flirty! all b-sides are solid imo, but a bit high for their singing range sometimes? i don't really have a standout in songs because i quite like all of the songs lol
agreed about the high pitch, first time should've been better in a more comfortable range for the girls. i'm tired of producers forcing ggs to sing like this, not everyone is a soprano lol
the b-sides are all very in line and easy sounding. weird that they differ from the title track though. echoing the too short comments, wished they were longer. Scandal and Baby Blue Love are my faves from 2 listens. SOS sounds like it could be an English track though. If it weren't for the verses I would have thought it was in English lol
This album rivals Feel Special in terms of b-sides. They’re all so so good. I never would have thought Dahyun would be one of Twice’s most prolific writers but here we are. Scandal and SOS are AMAZING. I think those two songs plus Baby Blue Love are my faves.
it's a really solid album but scandal is easily my standout. for the whole album i would say my faves are scandal > conversation > first time > baby blue love > alcohol free > sos
first time — i think i've already got used to the high vocals in first time through the teasers so i was able to enjoy it more than i thought on first listen. the second half of the song >> the first half, i thought the first half was suffering from being very one note like alcohol free but there was plenty of variation in the second half. scandal — i love it! finally something with an upbeat instrumental! i like the whispered bits. i think it suits being under 3 minutes though or it would start to sound a bit repetitive. conversation — i like it but, like scandal, i think it suits being short there isnt a ton of variation in the song. i also think musically it sounds a bit similar to scandal too they might have benefited from not having them right beside each other on the tracklist it has a lot of similar elements but just like a slowed down version. baby blue love — i dont know how i feel about this i can't pin down the vibe of the song some parts sound really pop-y and some are a bit more retro and i feel like the girls are delivering their lines in different styles from each other? i don't know what it is lol. i don't dislike it it was just the most jarring on first listen? sos — it's cute but i think it needs a punchier section it's not super memorable once i've finished it but i do like it. this sound is normally totally my style but this is very safe sounding it needs something extra for sure.
alcohol free i'm liking less with every listen lmao the momo sana section where they name cocktails is the only bit i enjoy
I LOVE this mini :) No skips! It might be my favorite, or at least tied for Eyes wide open since that album is incredible too minus Shot Clock lol

For album news, Gaon has it for 500,000+ preorders and their first day Hanteo sales is 180,000+ and it’s still counting, their second highest after More & More! It did better than EWO which did 100,000+ their first day.
Oh and the cover I’m very ‘eh’ about but tbh I’m used to with Twice at this point. Having cool covers just isn’t TWICE’s thing unfortunately. The green drink cover they had was really nice, wish they kept it!! They don’t need to show the 9 girls every time.
Also I pulled up Spotify and you’d think that notification reminding me of new music popping up would talk about Twice or another artist I listen to much more....
....Spotify is like ‘hey Maroon 5 has a new album, want to check it out?’ No, Spotify, no. I have their 1st album saved and I barely listen to it, I’m clearly not much of a fan lol.

SOS is my immediate favorite and Alcohol Free grows on me the more I listen to it. Overall it’s a really solid and cohesive album that I can honestly say no skips.
I'm so sorry but SOS is THAT girl. This is whats I was expecting from WGSN but the Twice girlies delivered. So did they write the korean lyrics? Because the album credits english songwritters?
I started reading the English translations, I can see this definitely being their most mature album yet. Make Me Go and Strawberry walked so Taste of Love could run. 😅 I really like it, it would be interesting if they ever get to a point where they can be even more direct about it. But I’m also guessing that’s partly why we’re not getting stage performances? There’s still songs that aren’t suggestive from the album they could use though.
