PLOT: When a grim incident occurs at their prestigious school, justice through law is put to a test by a tough law professor and his ambitious students.

Yang Jong Hoon is a criminal law professor and a former elite prosecutor, whose harsh words make him the professor to steer clear of. At the same time, there’s something compelling about his strict teaching methods and his refusal to accept less than the best from his future juniors in the legal profession.

Han Joon Hwi, a first-year law student, is at the top of his class. He’s a natural leader whose good looks and easy charm make him the perfect man - on paper. However, there’s an unexpected side to him that remains well-hidden.

Kang Sol is another first-year law student who overcame childhood poverty and hardships by gaining special admission to the school. She walks a path of thorns due to her constant sense of deprivation and shame amidst the wealth and talent that surrounds her. Eventually, her passion will enlighten her on what it truly takes to be a good lawyer.

Kim Eun Sook is a civil law professor who was once the head of the law school’s free legal clinic. Her natural air of authority and freewheeling personality earned her the reputation for being a master in court. Known for being a highly-relatable professor, she is the sole colleague Yang Jong Hoon dares to confide in.

i really loved this drama! now that its over theres nothing really else holding my interest in the same way. i'm watching mine still but idk if i'm enjoying it and i dropped basically everything else i've tried in the past couple weeks lol.

i will say i wished there hadnt been the break that separated the episodes unevenly because the finale was just wrapping things up and didnt really have any big exciting scenes and i thought the 1 year later...couple more years later ending was awkward but dramas are always awkward to wrap up. saying that though there was a lot of nice parts like with sol b saying sol a did a good job and her being really happy about it was adorable, the interactions between the characters i preferred to the actual mystery elements of it so i wish there'd been a little more of it.

i'm struggling to find things to watch, the only one i'm currently following is mine but thats because i like the cast i wouldnt really recommend it lol the episodes have improved though the first like 4 episodes really dragged for me but i've watched enough that i'm following it through now anyway. i think it's in the same style as penthouse but not quite as dramatic.

days and hospital playlist deal too much with medical things and illness for me to watch them right now i wouldnt be in the right headspace but i heard a lot of people are enjoying days.

i'm looking forward to moon so ri's new drama no one but a mad man (https://asianwiki.com/On_The_Verge_Of_Insanity), tbh the synopsis doesnt sound that interesting but i always find her easy to watch whatever she's in so i have some hope it will be good. i'm also debating watching nevertheless but i don't think i will at this point, its supposed to be like a realistic romantic drama and has been described with similarities to world of the married so i assume it will all be about cheating tbh which isn't my thing no matter how pretty song kang is.

ones that are currently airing that i'm thinking of picking up are bossam steal the fate because i've heard good things but i need to be in the mood for sageuks? and i might pick up mad for each other. i already tried my roommate is a gumiho but i wasn't feeling it.

i know of so many dramas going on right now lol but nothing is catching my attention that much. i'm actually just tempted to go back and watch something i've enjoyed before instead lol.

It's definitely one of the best dramas of the year, I absolutely loved it!

The last episode was really nice, I loved the scenes with all the students especially between Sol A and Sol B.
My only regret is that we don't have Prosecutor Jin in jail where he belongs and we don't know if the Assemblyman's son got what he deserved as well.

I'm going to miss this show. I've started 'Undercover' but I don't think it's going to captivate me as much as 'Law School' did :(

this was such a satisfying finale! i'm actually quite impressed with writing in this particular episode because it managed to touch upon every theme and storyline we had throughout drama (mock trials, abusive rships, byung joo's bribe, ji ho's father, kang dan, james, etc) in such organic way that it didn't feel forced at all. writer wasn't just tying loose ends neatly but reflecting upon everything that happened in previous 15 eps. it was a bit sad to see prof. yang take backseat and not to enjoy his usual shenanigans tho. but drama ended on uplifting note of future generation woking hard to help victims and making law just.
it's always a big worry of mine that when i encounter a drama that starts as strong as this one, it won't be able to maintain the same quality till last ep. law school & taxi driver really went all in for the victims and ended on high notes.

really loved this drama and quite sad that we'll be missing yangcrates, prof kim and our students :(( the final ep wrapped things up pretty nicely and i particularly liked to see sol b in therapy with her parents! this show in general addressed societal issues really well which i appreciated the most, next to the chemistry between the cast. they seemed to have so much fun together on set too from the credit pics.

This was one of the few dramas this year that I enjoyed. There were some times when I got confused with all the law jargon and so had to rewind to try to understand. I feel like the writer never gave us the reason why Congressman Ko ordered Lee Man Ho to kill Professor Seo. Was it because the bribe was a stain on his record that he wanted eliminated before his presidential run?

I am happy with how the writer wrapped up Ye Seul's story with her defending herself in court and now helping other victims of domestic violence. It was also sweet to hear Kang Sol B compliment Kang Sol A. Professor Yang and Professor Kim were brilliant in how they used other characters to get what they wanted. I wished that Han Joon-Hwi told Kang Sol A that he liked her, but I know that wasn't the focus for this drama. I think that the writer should have focused more on building up the law school students instead of making us suspect multiple characters of killing Professor Seo in the beginning of the show and Kang Sol B's plagiarism case.
