Their highest is 33 mil on Spotify, which is great for a non big group but Weeekly’s After School is about to hit 40 mil in a much shorter time. Basically I wonder if they’ll get a song that does well on tiktok. I expected Why Not and So What to have more, so they didn’t have the growth I was expecting to them to have. Just curious if they’ll get a song that reflects their fanbase lol.
But Loona does join Dreamcatcher in the special category of ‘not great at streaming but damn your fanbase can sell albums!’, their last album sold over 100,000 so that is really impressive. Not a lot of girl groups sell over the 100k mark so props to Loona & Dreamcatcher for sure!

For Not Shy, I don’t like the beginning, and while I like the rest of the song the beginning puts me off too much. Same with ASAP & Why Not, it takes awhile for me to get to the part I like.

Date: 2021-05-31 08:09 pm (UTC)Yeaah, I get the struggle vocals in kpop but honestly Loona is a group of pretty decent vocalists (and a few who have above average skills) and even the girls who aren’t stellar have interesting colours to their voices and are great when it comes to easy level of harmonising or breaking up the song* — butterfly did it so well.
*except Vivi, who has the spirit and we love her. And she can take the few talky bits that I’m not mad about.
