I'm still sad about what happened in the Japanese fanmeet, it seemed like those sad/awkward vibes kinda bled into the korean shinee day vlive, but it got happier and more lighthearted towards the end. I hope shinee is active for a long time. And that they don't go the cringey Suju route lol

they were shown a compilation video of their japan career with lots of footage focusing on jjong and they also included footage from the From Now On concert, they were filming their reactions too and by the way they reacted they were caught off guard by the video, they went from giggly and silly to silent, awkward and crying. Taemin couldn't even speak after, he started to tear up and had to leave the stage before the fanmeet was over. Pretty much only Key and Minho were able to speak after and they sounded robotic. It was very, very sad to watch.

That's messed up from the organizers/company. At least warn them! It's an exploitation of their mental well being. Poor guys. Like, they may be at a good place to move on from Jjong and not be as sad as before. But when it's shoved in their faces with the purposes to be recording a reaction, that's messed up.

I hope they are talking with each other about their feelings rather than keeping things bottled up. I don't know if they did, but I hope SM hired an in house mental expert to help everyone out and is just kept on staff for whenever. I doubt it but it would be the best thing they could do to support their artists.

the inclusion of clips from fno in the video was completely unnecessary. i keep on seeing people say that it shouldn't be "erased" from their career when anyone points that out and i'm like... no one is trying to erase it? it's just... not something that should be shoved in their faces. you could see their reaction shift from being generally nostalgic to being... something else entirely when that part of the video came along. it's really telling considering they've watched other retrospective videos involving jonghyun and it's been completely fine. like jonghyun being included clearly isn't the issue - it's obvious that they want him to be and he should be, but whoever decided to edit in fno clips and focus on their reactions like that fucked up royally. they could have either omitted them entirely or, at the very least, shown it at the very end of the live where their reactions wouldn't have been broadcasted to the world. or, you know, they could've given them a head's up too.

I know, it was so silly and fun 'til we got to that point. I got so uncomfortable and felt bad I was still tuning in because we should not have been watching their reactions to that. :(

i'm so glad today was a lighter fare and the videos from the fans and for taemin were SO well done! the perfect blend of touching and some humour seeing as how SHINee was able to laugh at it, and especially so for taemin. I was a bit worried about how it would end after what happened with the bistro live so i'm really relieved more than anything that today's went well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHINEE!

the hashtag floating around on twitter congratulating them for graduating elementary school was soooo cute! they're so special, it's been such a journey & they're such icons of the industry - I think it's incredible how they have such a distinct sound and yet try so many different genres, excel as soloists, and are truly the KINGS of live performance. & super super handsome! I love that they had their strongest sales in their 13th year for this latest comeback. I'm so proud of what they accomplished even though I wish they could be loved and appreciated even more. I cannot wait to spend years and years more with them and stick by them during this hiatus while Taemin's gone. the time will fly by, there's so much to look forward to!

I'm sad that I only started stanning them last year - i'm nearing my 1 year in June, haha - even though I could've easily been a 2nd gen stn all the way from the beginning bc people around me were into SNSD and other groups :( but it's okay bc i'm here for life, I don't have energy to get into other groups anyway so i'll be there just for them~
