Idk why she’s doing what she’s doing this era and who let her and why fans are praising her so much, but after the way she chose to portray a homeless person in the Birthday Cake vid I’m checking out of this.
Good luck to her, and if this album is as autobiographical as her fans say it is I really hope she’s in a good place now and has support!
Yea the Birthday Cake MV was even more questionable and now it feels like most of the visuals are so gimmicky and try hard to be edgy. I’m disappointed that tiger jk and yoonmirae, dubbed as her mentor allowed this, but I guess they’ve never been of good judgment either
I don’t want to get so deep in psychoanalysing her state but she needs a proper check in or a more sensible creative team
her songs are always hits for me, but the music videos have definitely been...interesting lately.
I do wonder if it comes off a bit edge lord-y as this kind of "toeing the line" as to what is acceptable in mainstream society/media feels like a newer thing to me in korean music? so it still comes off a bit juvenile and superficial.
