PLOT: When a grim incident occurs at their prestigious school, justice through law is put to a test by a tough law professor and his ambitious students.

Yang Jong Hoon is a criminal law professor and a former elite prosecutor, whose harsh words make him the professor to steer clear of. At the same time, there’s something compelling about his strict teaching methods and his refusal to accept less than the best from his future juniors in the legal profession.

Han Joon Hwi, a first-year law student, is at the top of his class. He’s a natural leader whose good looks and easy charm make him the perfect man - on paper. However, there’s an unexpected side to him that remains well-hidden.

Kang Sol is another first-year law student who overcame childhood poverty and hardships by gaining special admission to the school. She walks a path of thorns due to her constant sense of deprivation and shame amidst the wealth and talent that surrounds her. Eventually, her passion will enlighten her on what it truly takes to be a good lawyer.

Kim Eun Sook is a civil law professor who was once the head of the law school’s free legal clinic. Her natural air of authority and freewheeling personality earned her the reputation for being a master in court. Known for being a highly-relatable professor, she is the sole colleague Yang Jong Hoon dares to confide in.

I continue to hate Prosecutor Jin! And that hateful boyfriend and his bigger $*@t assembly man dad should be shipped over to Taxi Driver to be punished!

the ending of the last episode though!!! i am really worried for yeseul!

the role of the former medical student is such a mystery to me. i am really into all the different storyline this drama offers and the pacing is so good! yangcrates is a bit like a prosecutor superhero but i don't mind it too much.

agree with your hatred of prosecutor jin, the abusive boyfriend and the assembly man — i really want them to get their comeuppance asap. maybe a taxi driver x law school crossover would be a good idea

two random notes:
- professor yang has a mini mullet curling in the back of his neck which is very entertaining to me for some reason
- the statue of lady justice that is so central to this show is sooo ugly

I feel like they made Lady Justice as very sexy.

yeah me too but i'm really angry that she has to suffer more now and will be blamed for hurting her abusive girlfriend clearly in self-defense. sol a, joonghwi and yangcrates will be there for her i'm sure but still :(

op every week you're here to help me out with the storylines, that's such a good explanation! there's also something up with his (ex? perhaps dead) girlfriend, i think think that's why he decided to study law.

i just can't stop looking at his mini mullet lol it's really cute! his voice is very commanding

they do all look the same but i was meaning that i just think the statue looks a bit ugly and cheap... and i feel like weirdly they sometimes capture her boobs a lot

I love this show so much.

Kim Beom (Kim Bum? is such an amazing actor and how he looks younger than from Boys Over Flowers is a testament to Korean skincare I guess. I remember thinking after 9 Tail Fox that he was really going to Law School, not a drama. lol

He has cute shots on his Insta

There are so many twists and turns, it is unreal.

Will Yangcrates be a witness for Yeseul? I wonder if the abuser is dead, I think we will probably see the "not dead, in a coma" story arc.

This is the first revenge porn storyline I call recall... very intrigued by it.

Glad to have learned the trick on how to find cameras in the room!

This is the first time I am actually done watching the latest eps before this post so I can actually comment on what I am thinking! :)

I really want things to go well for Yeseul, but I am so worried due to the power her shithead boyfriend's father holds. I hope they are able to prove that it was an accident on her part. Both this drama and taxi driver show how abusive assholes know that they will only get fined or a short ass jail sentence if they post a sex tape online.

I wonder why the former med student is trying to become a lawyer? It looks like he was pretty advanced in his medical training with all that has been shown so far. It looks like he has been stealing the test questions to get perfect grades. Will he be expelled?

I hope that the Congressman, shitty bf and Prosecutor Jin get what they deserve

I'm late to the party but I'm with you OP, I hate prosecutor Jin, Yeseul's monster of a boyfriend, his father and that freaking rapist (who has a son and is apparently trying to find him? Heck no, stay the hell away from kids... and the rest of the world if possible).

I love Yeseul and I'm glad she stood up for herself in the end, even though now I'm scared of what's going to happen to her but she's going to get amazing support (I love how Yangcrates confronted her boyfriend and Joon Hwi too).

Concerning Sung Jae, I guess he planned on putting something in Yang's laptop to gain remote control, the way he does with Kim Eun Sook's one but panicked and ended up taking it with him. But I don't understand why he went to class with it instead of dropping it anywhere especially after the murder and the fact that they knew the laptop had been stolen :s
Anyway, I can't wait to know more about him, why he quit medicine and why apparently he shouldn't be still wearing his ring (unless Sol B said that because of the CCTV and that it would make him recognizable but I doubt it).

I hope we'll see Kang Dan soon, her story seems so interesting!

I watched some behind the scenes videos on Youtube and they showed the scene in Yang's classroom where he makes Sol A answer his questions and it was done in one take! It's amazing considering the whole lecture is pretty long and is a lot to memorize.
I'm truly amazed by this drama and actors ^^
