Momo sounds bearable here. The choreo set is quite visually pleasing to me but what is up with Nayeon’s outfit?? Is it me or are Sana’s eyebrows too thin, she doesn’t look as stunning as usual
It had some nice visuals (Jihyo's swing was very pretty) but overall I didn't think the song was that memorable. I do like that they're yelling "TWICE" again, we need to bring that energy back!
Actually I love this, I’ve already have it on repeat. The Kura repeating is super catchy and I love the ‘heart and soul’ part. The MV falls into the shallow but pretty category I complain about but wow, some parts are really striking and pretty lol. I love the final shot with Momo running through the door. I like that Momo’s vocals are lower here and easier to listen to.
But where is the disco ball and outfits??? I was expecting a disco inspired track. The teasers seemed super misleading to what we got. Hell the initial teaser of zooming in Mina with her unlocking some power transporting them to disco land, that would’ve been so cool but nope lol. Oh well
I’m so excited about them recording at the waterpark, it’s gorgeous!! I’m glad we’re getting a proper summer comeback, DTNA era was everything I love in kpop.
Not their best Japanese single, but I still enjoy it. I shouldn't have expected a disco bop lmao. The ~heart and soul~ part is catchy! I'm glad it wasn't just the intro but came back in the end of the song. Also, do they really need a rap break

jeongyeon got shafted in the styling :/ the mv is just great gowns beautiful gowns (but the last scene with momo was pretty good), the song... isn't very Twice-like? but i really like it honestly! the "lose control, heart and soul" part is pretty catchy. but idg why nayeon is wearing extensions in the choreo part lol she looks a lot better with the shorter hair tbqh.
I like the video, it's v pretty, but I don't like the song at all, tbh. The instrumental is too busy and the mixing is weird. And the lyrics flow really awkwardly to me, which makes the girls sound idk... out of breath maybe? But not in a good, sultry way. Their last few Japanese releases were way better :(
God the blue outfits during the choreography parts were a choice, especially whoever the blonde member was got hella shafted. There’s a reason I never have any expectations for Japanese releases and this song just further proves my point. The chorus part sounded like it should’ve been good but it didn’t go anywhere. The girls themselves look great though!!

Really think JYPE are too fixated on giving dubchaeng a rap every single time even when it’s not needed! Especially since Chaeyoung sounded so nice in the beginning. Tbfh this is my issue with a lot of other kpop songs tho lol. It’s fine, I just skip forward a bit and it’s a solid song. This is far superior to the likes of Brand New Girl and BDZ but ranks lower than Fake and True, Better, and Breakthrough. I’m also glad Jeongyeon is participating without forcing herself to do the choreo.
Yea the rap wasn’t needed but overall I think it’s boring but harmless? It’s short at least 🤷 idk I hear worst raps on the regular (so far the reigning champion is someone from SuperM and I’m guessing NCT? His rap though made my ears want to bleed lol I’m being dramatic but I was like wth is that!???) so I’m kinda amused this basic rap is SO bad according to users here. Oh well.
I’ll take this easily over Brand New Girl and I WANT YOU BACK (technically a cover but still the only Twice song I never replay lol) I actually like it more than Better, which had a much better reception here and I’m kinda surprised. Idk I still really like Better but some of the vocal choices/production wasn’t my favorite while I like how everyone sounds in Kura Kura.

This is one of their better japanese releases. Sometimes their japanese stuff doesn't sound good to me. But at least it's different than their korean stuff. I hate when groups release their korean stuff in japanese and call it a day. booo. give me originals.
