Even though I just found out about her recently, I’m excited for Chowon! Her vocals really impressed me, I hope she is able to show them off depending on the songs they get. Fans are a bit dramatic though, with their ‘funny that Chowon is debuting and izone is ending’. I get it, she was screwed over by manipulation by producers but izone was still a huge success sooooo it’s not thE gotcha they think it is lol.

But yea, a 14 year old as a member means I’m not going to follow this group closely. No 14 year old should be in a kpop group. Let her enjoy her youth, damn.

So far they have multiple members who are turning 19 this year which is good, they’re out of high school or soon at least. But it’s same issue I have with NiziU, they have multiple members who are too young. Like in the two members they revealed today one is a ‘05 liner. Weeekly too, but I get it since they have a school concept going

Isn't there a minimum age requirement for performing on television now? Or did I imagine all that... Or is that age 14? I just remember there being talk about Yeojin from Loona being too young to do the shows.

there’s no minimum age limit to being an idol, iirc, but there has been like other laws passed on limiting hours + the younger one’s work weeks. the one yeojin was probably referring to is that the one where if you’re under 19, you can’t be seen on tv after 10pm

There have always been 14-15 yo's debuting Kpop, I guess the difference is that I have come to understand way more than before that the entertainment industry is incredibly toxic and definitely NOT a good environment for young people. I wish these girls all the luck, especially with Cube.

Im cringing at the 14 year old, but unfortunately this isn't the first time Kpop have debuted a 14 year old. HyunA, Krystal, Sohee and Taemin come to mind.

Im so happy Chowon gets to finally debut. I thought Cube have let her go because I haven't heard anything from her but I hope she becomes successful, more successful than Izone because she should've been part of that success if they didn't screw her over.
