I love this sports drama storyline, so wholesome what with the hyungs' "fight" and Joochan being the earnest peacemaker lol. The song was just ok for me but I've been relistening to it after the news came out that they're doing follow up promos, and now I enjoy it more.
As someone who initially loved GolCha for the bright concepts, I'm really happy that they're still releasing bright songs, as a special single like Turn It Up or as promoted bsides like this or OMG. I enjoy their darker concepts but I don't want them to stick 100% to those! I like that they used their number to make up a whole sport team haha. Also the blue jeans/white shirt look was really nice, good way to call back earlier school uniforms they wore in spirit without actually putting them in uniforms again. Especially a grown man like Daeyeol lmao. And final thing before I stop writing a comment that's already too long - the MV plot looks like a fanfiction. I can already see fans typing an angsty triangle between Y/Joochan/Daeyeol... lol
lol it's not, but it's really funny that every group that does a volleyball concept uses Karasuno's colors. And, yes, you should watch Haikyuu!, it's great.
Super fun fact. I went to high school with the guy who did the English voice dubbing for..*quick google*.... Shoyo Hinata from the show. Bryson Baugus. He played my husband in a One Act Play production. and now look at him....a famous voice actor!
Oh, lol. If he's playing Hinata then he must have a very high pitched voice, or maybe the english dub didn't go the same route that the japenese one. But.. Haikyuu! feels so wrong is other languages that are not japanese, it just feels off lol
quick youtube check. It's weird seeing him. haha! the only time I watch dubs is when I'm took lazy to read subs (or I put something on in the background and don't intend to "watch").
What other groups did a volleyball concept? But yeah these are the exact same colors. I don't know the anime but I saw some comments about story parallels too, like Y must be this or that character in Haikyuu because he's angsty lol.
I was thinking of TXT's japanese release (and someone else I can't remember), but they were actually playing tennis. That said, those uniforms they wore are 100% inspired from Haikyuu! lol
