I was surprised that she did a cover! I think this is her first attempt at solo work???
I enjoyed it, I can now see her singing for an anime or Japanese ost lol! I’m glad she got to showcase her vocals and she’s improved since her Shy Shy Shy where she was really struggling. She’ll never be a main vocalist but I still enjoyed her tone, especially the deeper register she has later on. Plus I grew up on anime, her vocals remind me of some of the vocalists I’d listen to so I’m used to it.
She still has some work to do though, like the end notes on some lines sound thin and stretched out? But I’m glad I got to hear more of her voice overall!
This song is absolutely beautiful too, I listen to it often. It was my introduction to Kobukuro (who my phone refuses to spell right apparently lol)
i was so surprised to see we were getting a cover from her!! i've always liked her vocal tone, it's so sweet. her lower register is really nice too! this style of song suits her and i'm so happy she got to showcase how much she's improved.
This cover was lovely! Her vocal tone is actually so pretty and this was a great choice of song to show that off. Damn, this fandom has really been spoiled in terms of solo and subunit projects in the past couple months lmao. Hope jype keeps this up and gives the girls more solo activities.
