i said this already in teaser posts but i get the business decision this sound does seem to attract new fans so i get it i will just hope they never do it again lol. i don't hate the song because i can enjoy pure noise but it really is just noise they should have leaned more into the traditional korean instruments you can hear on some of the verses it would have made it a bit more interesting. i think it will be fun to see them perform it though and i do like the styling 90s line look good
breathing — is the best bside and could have been the title. it has a punchy enough chorus (too much synthy instrumentals if im being picky) but its overall much more melodic and interesting. dancing in the dark — has some interesting parts but overall not that attention grabbing on first listen i think i need to listen a few more times. diffuser — is cute i prefer it to dancing in the dark on first impression, it's nice and chill but even though i like it overall i think the bsides on their first album were a lot stronger? i still see myself listening to this a lot winter flower — loveeee this its like a proper ost ballad
Good for Daehyeon with the production credit, but yeah, I really love Breathing more. Actually it's a solid mini, I probably just won't listen to All or Nothing that much.
yeah it wasnt atrocious numbers wise but their debut should have done better with nearly every member having established fanbases (obviously some more than others lol) but everyone except seokhwa had debuted before but a lot of yohan fans boycotted it because they wanted him to go solo
Yeah, if it was a normal group their numbers would have been really good. But having Yohan and other Prduce/survival shows members it was expected do far better. I don't get Yohan solo stans, has anything he's done since he won PDX turn out well? Like, he injured in X1 debut stage, then the group disbanded before he could even 100% perform with them, then the mess with his k-drama (is that still going to air or did they drop it altogether?), then their debut as a group is really underwhelming. Why boycott him like that? Give him a break.
But I see this album is already doing much better sales wise. Maybe this time it will turn out well.
yeah yohan had particularly bad luck for a while. i honestly don't know how the sales did but he did do one solo song pre wei debut and i loved it. he's also filmed a love so beautiful which i think has just finished airing? its on netflix atm anyway and he is still scheduled to star in the next school series but it hasnt started filming yet so he's doing/done quite a lot but i havent really felt any of the support for any of those projects to the level you would expect considering his popularity during produce.
hopefully they will get over it and support him in the future like i was big donghan solo fan but i had to adjust as well to him suddenly being a group and getting almost no lines in comparison but i accept it for what it is lol
Idk who they are, but I see there are produce 101 alumnis, so I might ‘know’ s.o. if I look more into them
