Hmmm I’d argue most of her career is that medium? She doesn’t really do innocent and cutesy, so you can find sex appeal in her previous works but nothing as overt as this imo

Yeah like I love sexy Sunmi because it seems like she's more in control of her own concept and it's not forced on her? But I agree there needs to be a bigger range of what's available between baby and sexy. Like that's the reason so many people are kind of put off by K-pop, because it's so restrictive.
When I wake up in the morning and get dressed and live my life normally, I'm not constantly thinking "Baby??? Or sexy???" So I don't see why that can't be extended to music.
yeah, i can't really get into it tbh. i feel like, and it puts me off so much, that in kpop it's a right of passage for both male and female idols to do a 'sexy' concept or whatever as a sign of being 'grown' and it just doesn't jive with me cos there are a lot of other ways to indicate that you're an adult than performing in a heavily sexually charged way? but i guess that doesn't sell. like just speaking of female soloists or female artists, even if you look at Lisa or Momo it just bleeds into the same thing, it feels like they're all performing this idea of what it means to be a ''''fierce'''' and '''''sexy''''' woman who owns her sexuality it feels like all of them are putting on the same costume and just the person wearing it changes and is drowned out by it.

omg yes! I think about this a lot! It's really "prove to me you're an adult by making yourself sexually consumable" which is real gross. Nobody should be forced into that before they're ready, if they're ever ready. I can tell you the first time I felt like an adult was when I was responsible for coordinating my financial aid payments with my university lol! Sexy came WAY later
Not that there aren't artists that don't sing about other topics, because there are, like you said it just seems like a rite of passage idols MUST go through when really they shouldn't have to.
The song seems to be hit or miss for people but the music video was great lol, basically Yubin’s character/persona uses men to keep herself youthful. I was eating it up
