IU's star power is another level because Celebrity is such a mediocre song. The drop is generic and sounds like other songs with a drop in the chorus. I think the whole thing sells because it's IU, we watched her grow up and grow into her celebrity status and she always has this message on her songs about her life and getting older but if we take away who was singing it, this is a basic song.
