The second season of Netflix's Korean original series "Love Alarm" will hit the streaming site March 12.
The streaming giant announced the release date of the series' new season Wednesday, dropping two teaser photos.
Based on the web comic of the same name by Chon Kye-young, the series centers around a mobile application named Love Alarm, which tells its users if someone likes them. The app also send signals if someone who "liked" the person is within 10 meters.
Led by director Lee Na-jung, the first season followed an entangled romance between three high school students ― an orphaned girl, Kim Jo-jo (Kim So-hyun), a popular guy, Hwang Sun-oh (Song Kang), and his best friend Lee Hye-young (Jung Ga-ram).
The series has gained international popularity since premiering in 2019.
The new season will welcome a new director Kim Jin-woo, whose previous works include the Korean adaptation of the hit legal series "Suits" (2018) and crime mystery "Queen of Mystery" (2017). The three lead actors from the first season will continue to play the main protagonists.
"The three meet after time has passed (in the new season)," Netflix said. "The new season will show how the three cling to their past relationships and how they have become obsessed with the number of alarms on the app, even to the point that it affects their social status."

Date: 2021-02-18 12:28 am (UTC)and why the nonsense of she can't etc etc etc as long as she has a block on her love alarm. Or, you know, you could TELL the dumb pretty boy that the inventor, who he also knew, gave you a block because you were all being DUMB MELODRAMATIC TEENAGERS as written by someone with the skill of an E.L. James.

Her telling Sun Oh that Hye Young is "a good kid and I want to try with him" doesn't sound very convincing or promising. Like, don't force yourself, girl. You have a hot dude right in front of you who clearly still likes you. I do feel bad for Sun Oh's gf though. She seems sweet. I just hope they don't turn her into the typical bitchy second female lead.
The shield thing is dumb. JUST CHANGE YOUR EMAIL, GIRL. Hahah jk. IDK what it is tied to, but I imagine it is that?? Or probably their citizen reg number, which I guess you can't change, but still.

I fell into and then got stuck finishing it too. I rather enjoy how annoyed it makes me and how much I dislike it, so I may end up hate watching the second half. Or not.

Date: 2021-02-18 03:24 pm (UTC)I remember watching this on a whim a few months after it came out simply because the whole premise made me ?????? She better end up with Sun Oh because the other guy is a stalker. Yes, he's nice and all, but he literally stalked her??? Got a job at the same place as her, followed her to her bus stop, home, etc. Sun Oh has his own issues too, but...
I also hated Kim So Hyun's bangs in the first season. It looked better in the later episodes, but it was a mess in the beginning. It was like they didn't know what to do with her bangs (and it also looked like she was trying to grow it back? IDK).
