A great song as it should be! Love that even though it was hyped as TT 2.0, it didn’t fail expectations. Also having the 3 main/lead vocalists start the song is great too

Likey’s MV success is really interesting to me since it feels somewhat genuine? Most Kpop MVs now are successful because of tons of streaming strategies, but Likey was just huge back in 2017 and I think it was a lot of people just tuning in to see what’s happening. Streaming is what got it to 500 mil now but it was so fascinating to me how popular it was at the time!

unpopular opinion time — Likey is great! But not one of my favorite title tracks. I always found it a little overrated. But even though it’s not my absolute fave, it’s still so much fun and I like that there is a bittersweet feeling to the lyrics like Feel Special has.

Likey on Spotify is on its way to 100 million! It’s at 96 mil I think? Makes me wonder what it would’ve been at if JYPE actually utilized Spotify in 2017 instead of waiting so long. I think it would be up there with Fancy or at least What Is Love

Also sort of random but I wonder if we’ll get a MV like this from Twice ever again. It’s quite simple in styling and even though it definitely cost money to record out of the studio set, it’s quite simple overall. That’s part of the charm but I feel like antis would rip it apart nowadays and partly why their stuff aims to be more dramatic

I would like to see them do a video like this again. (I like videos with outdoor sets.) I really love all of the dramatics but I like their simple videos like this, too. Plus, antis would rip them apart regardless so I feel like they should just do what they want at this point.
