omonatheydidIt’s Friday, and the first week of February is over! Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to the 1st week of February, 2014. Some of OP's personal favs this week!
#3 B1A4 “Lonely”
This is my favorite B1A4 song. It was the single from the group’s “Who Am I” album. The song did well, it is their highest charting song and is one of their biggest sellers. The group made a comeback last fall, their first release since they became a trio and also their first full album in 4 years. Let’s check out version two of the song’s music video.
#2 Ailee “Singing Got Better”
And this is my favorite Ailee song! There’s only two of hers that I really liked, and both were written and produced by Wheesung for her. This song would peak at the top spot, and sell very well. She would also be nominated for a few year end awards for this song, and would win the MAMA award for best vocal performance. It’s been a while, so let’s see the MV again. The video features a smarmy Lee Joon. She looks cute tho lol.
#1 Girls’ Day “Something”
This was the lead single from the group’s third EP, and a big hit for them. This was their first song to hit the top spot, and is one of their biggest selling songs. It won a bunch of music show and year end awards, including one for best dance performance. And that dance was EVERYWHERE in 2014. So many cover dances lol. Here’s the rock version of the song that they performed at MBC Gayo. With a little Janet Jackson thrown in at the beginning! They look great.

#9 Gummy “You Will Think Of Me”
This was a digital single, and her first solo release after leaving YG Entertainment. She would follow it up with an EP a few months later. I found a MV teaser for the song, but not the actual MV lol. But lucky for us, there’s an MV live version. Other than one appearance on Sketchbook last November, she has been keeping a low profile since the birth of her daughter last summer.
#10 Rain “LA Song”
This was one of the two lead singles released for his “Rain Effect” album. It was the highest charting and best selling of the two. It was also his first musical release in 4 years. I don’t remember this MV at all. Probably blocked it from my memory tbh lol. I do remember the song, though. I remember him performing it live with trot singer Tae Jin Ah.
