having a nice stomach doesn't mean you have to starve yourself. it means you work out and you're toned, which is what you should be if you're exposing your stomach, especially for an ad. 'contemporary beauty ideals' exist whether we want them to or not, and flab does not equal healthy.
But they're only contemporary. It's silly to follow them. Anyways, that's beside the point, and I agree you should keep your body healthy, but as long as your satisfied with it, who cares what other people say, right? I mean, you wouldn't want people suddenly criticizing your body too, no? And yes, she IS an ad, I know that. But the media influences how society thinks, so might as well change how people accept their bodies.

i'm not totally sure what i'm arguing lol but i just believe that if you're going to be objectified in an advertisement, you should look hot, and hot means toned. contemporary beauty ideals conform with the personal beauty ideals of most people, which is why they're contemporary, i guess.
i don't think she's flabby or unhealthy, just untoned. :)
