I don't really love these covers tbh, hopefully the actual spread will be better

OP what are you looking for in your makeup? I personally don't use UD, as I think there's better brands for more affordable prices 😅

Mostly eyes/brows, since they're the only publicly visible part of my face anyways 🙃
And foundation/concealer since my skin has gone to hell and has stated no intention to return

And yeah UD isn't cheap but if I'm only buying a couple things, I'm okay spending some money to support my kids lol

When it comes to foundation I've been leaving for Nyx born to glow; it gives me this glowy, healthy glow without looking like I have a bunch of foundation. For brows, I've been using the Catrice eyebrow gel, has they have with color or without.
Concealer I highly suggest the L'Oréal age rewind one. It doesn't cake up and it's very light weight, highly recommend. If you need, I also recommend their Paradise mascara

can you please recommend me some quality brands with bright colors?

I bought 3 Morphe palletes last year (pride collection, Jeffrey Star and 35B) and I found most colors difficult to blend and not nearly as pigmented as I thought they would be, also their pink colors made my eyes itch, so I'm back to my trusty UD Naked 1, 2 and Smoked pallete which are like 4 years old now, but I still want something with bright colors! :)

Oh yea Morphe isn’t great quality, I have my issues with the brand lol but strictly speaking of quality, they’ve always been more on being on trend and pushing out quantity over quality. But since they’ve be one such a huge name in makeup they’re not going anywhere. Smoky Glow has a great video on their history and how they’re focused less on quality but more on having a big presence

But if you’re looking for quality colorful palettes, Glamlite has a Cake and Ice Cream themed palettes that are really colorful and have good quality, and BH cosmetics has their Ice Cream and food line in general that is getting a lot of love! (The food theme here isn’t intentional lol). If you don’t mind waiting and possibly paying more, indie brands like Glaminatrix do great colorful shades. I haven’t tried them yet but I’ve heard great things about Terra Moon and Lethal Cosmetics!

👍 all good! I think Lethal is a German brand! Also there’s a brand called Oden’s Eye that does some neutrals mixed with colorful, and they’re Swedish :) their packaging is soooo beautiful too lol.

There is also a brand from Poland called Glamshop. I haven’t tried them but I heard they make amazing eyeshadows from what I’ve seen from reviews/videos!

Wow, thank you so much! I had no idea of all these brands, I just knew of Inglot 😆 it shows that I've been out of the community since like 2014 😅 I've found Glamlite Cake in the Netherlands for 45€ so was considering getting that one ☺️

btw I've watched the video you recommended, at first I thought "no way I'm gonna be able to get thru all 50 minutes" but time flew by and it was really interesting! I used to work a lot with influencers for building our brand presence and so it was a good case study ☺️

If you live in Europe like me. I recommend oden's eye brand.
It's an indie brand, and their eye shadows are something else! And they are super affordable! Also their blushes are too good!!

Hm...UD primer potion is quite famous. Possibly one of UD most well known items besides their Naked palletes. I have used their 24/7 glide on eye pencils and it works well for me. Formula is pretty creamy. UD's all night long lasting setting spray was pretty well known yrs ago too. 🤔

I wish it was makeup that was more editorial or just more creative in general. This is very boy idol makeup which is nothing wrong with that, it is what they are lol but there’s not much to comment on here. Natural/MLBB makeup isn’t all that interesting to me, there’s a lot of ways to reach the end but the final result only can say so much lol

their looks for love killa were all much better than this :( beauty+ shoots are always basic as hell, tho, so i guess it's expected. i looove kihyun and changkyun's styling for this at least

but to answer your question, op! i don't have a lot of ud makeup (one of their basquiat palettes and a setting spray) but i've admired a lot of their shadows and their eye pencils too! they're just mostly out of my price range, lol

TBH Beauty+ photoshoots are rather bland for me, but it has the best photo resolution, if that makes sense (the Dazed photoshoot gets super grainy at times). I wish that they really went all out with the makeup though, kind of defeats the whole purpose of it being an eye palette endorsement without... the eye makeup

I think Kihyun's and Hyungwon's covers are the best. I hate that Changkyun's hand is covering his beautiful mouth in his, and Minhyuk looks so sleepy! I'm very happy for them getting this deal though =)

I have two of their Naked pallettes: Smoked and Cherry. The Smoked is too dark for work but I use the Cherry palette almost every day. I wish I had the Heat one but there's no point since we can't go out T_T

I also have the eye shadow primer, its never given me problems and my eye makeup will last all day. I went to a swimming pool birthday party for my cousin and one of her 7 year old friends asked me, "If you're wet, how is your make up still on?"
I blew her mind that day.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good liquid blackliner?
