I'm sad. My childhood didn't include Sailor Moon. I feel like I majorly missed out. And I'm not sure if I watch it now if it would be the same.

That said, I'm still pressed her song Bad didn't do better (based on how quiet Omona was about it). That song was a hella jam.

I feel bad since I forgot about her release pretty quickly (and I guess multiple people did too as it didn’t show on our end of year lists) But I readded it to the top of my playlist to give it another chance since I do like it, it’s an easy listen.

I liked "Bad" too! I just don't comment that often here, heh, and I do admit I kinda forgot about it after a couple of weeks. Lots of good realeases in those months.

I didn't watch much SM when I was a kid either, I think it was because it aired in the afternoon and I started school at 2 p.m. I tried watching it in my early 20's cause one of my friends was such a fan, but I didn't like it much tbh, it felt too repetitive and like it had too many eps, and it didn't have the nostalgic factor for me so I dropped it.

EXACTLY. I feel like most people like Sailor Moon because of the nostalgia factor. I mean, I get it. When Inuyasha was added to Netflix I thought, 'oh, I liked that growing up so I should watch it" but could barely make it through 3 episodes.

Yeah, I also feel it's one of the biggest reasons and also just nostalgia in general for the simpler life we had as kids/tween/ the 90's? I've seen many people wear clothing inspired by the fashion in SM. The anime's palette was really pretty, so that helps.
People also related to the characters, idk when it aired here in my country, but I was defo way younger than the MC and co. so even if I had watched it Idt I would get much in that regard haha. Althought I liked that the main characters were a groups of girl friends!

Ooh inuyasha, I've also thought about rewatching it, then I remember it's soo long and how frustrating inuyasha and kagome can be so yeah, nah haha.

I would come home from grade school and immediately sit in front of the tv to watch sailor moon. This show means so much to me. My fave was totally Usagi/Serena because I too am a whiny baby who likes to eat and loves her friends. Then I would have to say Uranus because I was in love with her. It also was the show I realized I was....not straight. Especially with reading the manga 😂

Mars and Saturn! always loved dark-haired, strong female characters. So many good ones in SM
