Aside from UP Down being iconic, exid choreos aren't really that interesting and doesn't really do much to showcase dance talent.

IA. I love Exid! But I’ll never remember them as choreo queens lol. And like another comment said, a lot of previous gen choreo isn’t really cutting it nowadays. I’ve seen it brought up here before but for T-ara some of the choreo they had would be considered lazy/basic nowadays.

I think a lot of it has to do with older gen wore high heels (like 4 inch stilettos, pumps) wayyyy more than the current gen. Not that current gen is always wearing comfortable shoes but I don’t see high heels as often now.

Yea I looked up the lyrics, it’s a typical girl group about pining after someone you’re attracted to. Some weird ass lyrics that probably were tied to the offensive concept but without the concept those lyrics are typical Kpop lyrics sounding funny but catchy. So yea the song itself isn’t bad, It’s literally everything around it is OH NOOOO 😧

I too hope there’ll be a new version, but some of the girls are done with performing so we might not get it. I think it may have to do with YouTube’s algorithm that has gotten older groups popular (I think Mazeltov and My House?). Hyomin/Jiyeon’s appearance on MMTG also had a listing on “bops I should be ashamed listening to” which had Yayaya

I feel like most choreos focus on "point choreography" which s easy enough for fans to learn or is catchy and fun to do. Like EXID Hot Pink point dance was not difficult but you can't help but pivot your hips when it comes on.

1) I miss EXID
2) K pop choreo has gotten to the point of being a lot that a lot of older stuff is outdated (especially for the sexy girlgroups God bless them). You could see a difference by the time we got to Me and You with how much more...contemporary it got. Mind you Up and Dow is at most 6/7 years old.
3) the energy was not there for me. I did like the white top and black pants girl who did Hani’s verse from I Love You.

I think this is how you can tell these girls are still....young lol because they’re missing that charisma that came with Exid. But Exid was a pretty mature group when they took off (I think most of them were in their 20s already?). They had sex appeal and charm that came from some experience. So yea the moves aren’t the most exciting but Exid would have that stage presence so they pulled it off.

These girls aren’t at that stage in their life since they’re still young and that’s ok! But I can see why this choreo medley lacked energy even though nothing they did was really exhausting

But I do like they did a video for Exid since that was the previous group by this producer. I liked them highlighting the senior group!

EXID also had 2 years of promoting under their belt before Up and Down became popular. Quick internet search says they debuted in Feb 2012 and Up and Down didn't get popular till Oct 2014. So they weren't like...dewy eyes newbies to the idol game.
