The mini Dystopia: Road to Utopia will be out January 26th!

This is the first comeback as OT7 as Handong has returned to Korea. The last time all 7 performed together was for Deja Vu in 2019.

I’m excited :))) especially since this January is looking extra dry for me since a lot of announced comebacks just don’t interest me.

I will say even though I’m a big fan, I really hope they’d drop the Dreamcatcher symbol. I already have issues with the name, but it would be easier to accept if it didn’t have the symbol attached. I was watching a native who is Ojibwe showing how they are properly made and the ones that are made by those appropriating their culture. One of the Dreamcatchers he showed that he found insulting looked exactly like the symbol for their Dystopia: Tree of Language album 😬 it just feels like a stain on Dreamcatcher’s history. I’m glad in their actual work I don’t see anything like that but I’d be proud if they dropped the imagery (hell even alter the name would be even bigger). Or even have someone who is Ojibwe designing the symbols. I think that would be really cool.

On another note, I really hope it’s nothing like Boca. I always rave about how their Korean releases never miss. Yea....Boca is my first miss for them lol. I only listen to it once in a blue moon. But DC likes to change things up per comeback so I’m not too worried.

ia about the symbol it's something i forget about with them because i'm used to their name now it's only when i see things like dreamcatcher merchandise that i notice again and i'm like wow i would not buy that 😬 even if they kept the name their symbol could so easily changed to be a variation on the letters DC or something instead

Agreed on the symbol, it’s not a good look on their otherwise great track record.

Also loool, I love Boca and hated Scream. Though I see why people would dislike it, it’s a bit more generic than their other songs.

Hopefully the title track isn't Boca 2.0 but since it seemed to help their popularity rise... I wouldn't hold it against them

I’m soooooo excited ! I love their music and I’m always looking forward to their album covers too! I love how they always reinvent the dreamcatcher motif, they really have the best album designs in kpop tbh
