4minute wows the crowd in Japan

After the success of KARA’s Japanese showcase, I knew 4minute would do well. The girls headed over to Japan to hold a showcase and finished up on the night of March 5th.

The showcase took place in Tokyo and the fans who were present were able to make it after fighting for tickets. Out of every ten people, only one person got a ticket to see these girls live.

They had a famous Japanese MC/DJ host the event but what got the showcase pumping was the girls’ opening songs, For Muzik and Muzik.

2,500 fans attended the performance and even though they were Japanese, they chanted the Korean cheers for the song.

4minute met with the fans afterwards and even shook their hands. There were fans whose ages ranged from the teen years to 40-year-olds.

One associate said,

“4minute puts on the most powerful performances out of all girl groups. That is hard to find in Japan. It’s very possible that they would succeed in Japan.”

For the past 50 days, the 4minute girls took a tour around Asia which is definitely a benefit they’ve earned from Universal.

Thank God! Japan needs to drop that disgustingly cute girl group phase. I doubt 4minute will have a #1 on the oricon, but it's a step from that gag worthy girl group crap....

IA. there are VERY little girl groups to choose from but the ones they don't have r disgustingly cute or too over the top (with the exception of soulhead and bennie k because as groups, fierce bitches are fierce) so i welcome kara and 4minute into japan with arms wide open.

Perfume, Halcali, Bennie K are all good though.

I dunno how well 4minute will do, considering Japan has a slew of successful girl groups, from Perfume to the newly returned queens, SPEED. It'll be interesting for sure. But I always thought KARA's style matched better with Japan.

Don't think so. MM is still selling well, Berryz is releasing a new single. And they have AKB48 (cute girl + older girls posing in gravure magazines) now.

And that's also the reason why they are hard to find. Japan loves cute girl groups.

LOL. Bright, (the new) Dream, SPEED, Max . . . If newer groups like Bright and a group superior to 4minute in terms of vocals and dancing like Dream can't make it, I'm doubtful that 4minute can. They're welcome to try and prove me wrong, but I think they'll get a small boost due to the Korean wave and that's it.
