i just finished ep 8 so great timing op! really enjoyed these episodes again, even though it was kind of relying on misunderstandings (which i'm happy that they sort of got solved by the end of ep 8) and the last episode felt like an episode of the hills with so many meaningful glances between the different characters. i'm happy that suho's feelings towards joogyeong have been clarified, but hoping joogyeong will learn to love herself more and be confident without makeup - looking forward to the next episodes now that they've revealed that she wants to go to make up school! get that education and self-value!!

now that soojin also realized her feelings for suho, i'm reaaaaally hoping cool soojin will develop as a mean, bitchy character towards joogyeong, especially since we're learning more and more of her terrible family situation. i feel like soojin and joogyeong could relate to each other so much, as ep 7 has already shown.

very impressed with the luxury tents on their camping trip... flashbacks to my high school camping trips in tiny tents with no electricity. loved the guy with the bird

it was really fun to see suho and seojoon's chemistry in this episode! especially at the baseball game lol. i want to see more of their past friendship and what went down. currently thinking leo = suho now though. also i am not that much into the love triangle/square now - suho and joogyeong suit each other well and i feel like with seojoon, he might like joogyeong, but in his liking her part of it is still spite towards suho and joogyeong does not deserve that.
hopefully hwang inyeop will be cast in a more mature drama after this - i think he plays the himbo teenager in a very funny way, but i want to see him in roles that actually suit his age

now that we have seen another fun cameo from one of the leads from extraordinary you, praying that rowoon will show up as well! but he must have been busy filming his own drama at the time.

ok this comment is really unorganized, sorry for the mess!

yeah i think leo is suho as well. he's supposed to be the composer and suho has that studio room in his house, so it's def him. i'm curious about how his father is involved in the mess, he's so shady.

I knewwwwww they were going to create this love square! I just hope it doesn't get messy and cause more misunderstandings/break ups/etc. Wait, you want Soojin to be mean?? Or did you mean not become mean?

I love how Hoon became Suho's wingman. That scene where he was like "Do you want me to draw stripes on your shirt?" hahahah and basically just him trying to keep Suho in check.

The cameo from Jung Gun Joo was so nice and he had so many scenes! LOL him speaking him satoori threw me off. It would be INSANE if Rowoon made a cameo too. He could bump into Jookyung and Suho on a movie theater date and ask if she's seen Dan-Oh. Hahah.

Seojun is sweet and I also love his and Jookyung's bickering, but agree that Jookyung deserves better. Wonder if she is ever going to find out? That scene where she's crying and he's wiping her tears and saying "What it is, it's my fault, okay??" Awwww. I also love his voice.

ALSO, how did all her makeup come off from just crying? lol.......that was a bit of a stretch.

ooooh noo sorry i meant that i DONT want her to get mean! i don't like those kind of tropes for women :( i just want jookyeong and soojin's friendship to be preserved and suho and seojoon to make up lol thanks for pointing it out!

lol you wrote down everything that i was also thinking when watching the episode. in general i just love suho trying to express his feelings (amicably or romantically) and being so clumsy about it. both hoon and jookyeong are good at bringing out that awkwardness lol

yesss i looooved his satoori! his character was def filler but so charming! what a cutie! hope the writers have read your comment because that would be the perfect way for rowoon to show up

i knooow that scene was very cute :( i love their bickering too but suho and her make more sense in terms of interests and solid basis. i'm rooting for seojoon and soojin (or myself)

we don't know how emotional she got!! let the girl cry!!! (no but for real it was too much, this drama definitely takes some liberties with realism)

haha no problem! Yes, I hope they don't go that trope-y route for Soojin.

lol I just read a recap of ep 7 & 8 and was reminded of the elevator scene where Suho gave Jookyung the cup to pee in...and how she was just about ready to cuss him out. lol. It is pretty entertaining to watch him be so clumsy (lol the batting cage scene)

Jung Gun Joo really is such a cutie. I felt so bad for his character in Ex-You. I loved the trio (Do Hwa, Dan Oh, & Haru) so much! I wonder if there is a conflict of interest for Rowoon to make a cameo (besides him probably not having time in his schedule to do so)...but then again the actor who played Oh Nam Joo was on two dramas at the same time, too and on different networks, I think??

Hahahha for real...I was like there is NO way all her make-up washed off (I mean, her forehead?? C'mon...) hahah. I did notice in the still photos of the kiss scene, they edited it quite a bit and you can barely see her acne...I was like umm what?

lmaoo i forgot about that elevator scene! but still impressed with his quick thinking. he is sooo awkward

he played the respectful second lead to the t! it was fun to see him play a more confident flirty character in this drama.
yeah i think it might be a scheduling conflict, rowoon is still filming his drama i think? so it might be difficult. the actor who played namjoo did not make an appearance in true beauty (yet??) right? or did i miss something?

in general the fact that she is considered unattractive without her makeup in this drama is unrealistic so maybe we should not even complain about makeup washing off with tears (especially she's made such a big issue before over her makeup needing to be waterproof)

nopee the actor who played Namjoo hasn't made a cameo. I meant like he was acting in two different dramas (Penthouse and some other one IDR the name of). I imagine they would have probably asked him too, but he's probably too busy as well!

the misunderstandings were getting annoying so i'm glad that they solved it in the end. but omg eunwoo sweetie that kiss... it was too awkward for me like move your lips! look alive! do something! he's lucky he's so damn fine.

seojun got on my nerves less these two eps and now that he knows jukyung likes suho, i hope he respects that and supports her in other ways. their banter is really cute and they could have a great friendship, sorry i just don't see (nor want) them together romantically. i'm team suho all the way and if the spoiler i read online is true i'm gonna be pissed.

i'm sad for soojin. i really like her and she deserves to be with someone who makes her happy, so i hope they don't drag her liking suho too long or make her hate jukyung.

moon gayoung continues to be immensely charming and a delight and i'm a little bit annoyed that they thing some fake pimples and redness make her ugly lmao.

also i cannot stress this enough. i don't give a fuck about the parents, please just stop shoving them down my throat i hate them. the sister and teacher are cute tho.

I just finished watching episode 8 last night. Wow misunderstandings galore. I'm glad Suho finally confessed. I hope Soojin doesn't become a mean girl. She's too cool for that!

LOL at Suho stalking the guy bully and making him apologize to Jookyung. I wonder if that's the last we'll see of Jookyung's bullies from her old school.

I see they're trying to redeem Jookyung's mom a bit...was she also mean in the webtoon? Anyone know?

Hoon's one sided friendship with Suho is adorable lol. Also him trying to teach Suho about love...lol....
