i come back after initial 'idk if i should watch it' in previous post to say that i'm really loving this drama!
it's nothing special, very predictable, uses the usual tropes and yet... it hits just right. its cheesiness is a part of its charm! but i'm biased because of mgy as i'm really enjoying her being silly and funny teen but this drama is really fun! i feel like that's exactly what i was missing on my kdrama watching list. it's simple mindless fun without any high stakes.

lol i started this and "run on" at the same time and when real shitty things happen in "run on" i just yearn for "true beauty" because sometimes it's nice to have something so simple and silly. in no way it's a great drama but sometimes being just mindless fun is enough.

han seo joon is too much, i can't root for him. like i get that he could blame soo ho for what happened to their friend, but at the same time saying that he will stop when soo ho is dead, that he's a murderer and that he shouldn't be happy... that's too much for someone that was supposed to be his friend too.

i wish we just got the ju kyung soo ho couple without all this mess around, it's too mean.
and ju kyung's mom is so annoying, i skipped her scenes with soo ho's dad...

this drama is fun even tho it's super cliche and cheesy but is greatly hampered by the fact I don't like jukyung nor her baby voice..... her mom is even worse tho I only like the older sister from the entire family.

it feels like every serious or romantic scene gets cut with a joke bc the writers don't know how to progress from it which it makes it jarring tho.

eunwoo is my ult and I think he's best when he does crying scenes or when he's angry but there's also times where he just doesn't emote enough. even a stoic character would still express more during those scenes. I know he studies his script and character a lot but maybe he's too methodical about it or just doesn't let go enough to rly tap into and express those emotions. I can buy him as suho and he's soooo different from eunwoo but I do want him to get better lol.

I think hwang inyeop is more skilled which makes his character more interesting. and damn his voice *___*

i am really enjoying the humor in this show, i've laughed out loud a lot these past 2 episodes. i love seojoons friends and how cutely they care for seojoon dressing up for his game. seojoon is a jerk for playing with jugyeongs feeling but i have a soft spot for him and his himbo tendencies and his leopard underwear. hwang inyeop plays him in a fun way imo.

i know everyone is really critical of cha eunwoo's acting but i think he's doing alright, he's had some good scenes these past 2 episodes. but maybe i'm a bit blinded by his looks, he looked really fine with that baseball cap and i feel like he's built up some muscles?

although the show is a bit tropy, it also plays with some tropes in a fun way (like the teacher and jugyeongs older sister, love them!!! that scene in the rain! the teacher's eyebrows!).

i am truly feeling for jugyeong and i'm happy that she's is finding a way to develop her talent for makeup more, maybe this will be the start of her becoming more confident? i just really want her to feel that she can be herself in public without makeup too :(

so suho is also into music, maybe he, seyeon and seojoon made the song together? curious to learn more about this bromance. i'm also hoping we'll get to see more of soojin's backstory soon - hopefully the glimpse that we've seen is the start of an interesting character arc for her.

something that felt a bit inconsistent to me was that all of a sudden jugyeong recognized the label on suho's jacket when she could not even recognize his face without her glasses???

Finally watched the episodes! I was trying to wait a bit since I knew there would be no new episodes until after the New Year. I hate when they do that!!

Jukyung's mom is seriously so mean. I don't get why other than she's just projecting on her daughter because of her own insecurities, maybe??

Seojun reminds me of Woo Do Hwan's character (Eun Seop) in The King. I couldn't for the life of me figure it out until now...it was the dancing scene in ep 6 that finally made me realize! The actor himself also reminds me of WDH a bit.

I feel like Suho's confession about liking Jukyung came a bit early in the drama? Couldn't we have gotten a bit more development? IDK.

I'm late to the discussion. I started to watch this drama due to seeing the clip posted of the movie theater scene the Extraordinary You characters (Who I love). Made me want to watch this drama. What I am enjoying the most about this drama is it has some seriousness but the slapstick comedy has me smiling from ear to ear.

The dinner scene in Episode 6 when Suho was at her house I was laughing at the parts with her and her brother while eating, and then when they lost power I was laughing so loud I had tears in my eyes and caused myself to get a slight headache!

I think Jukyung character is adorable both without makeup and withe makeup. She is just so likable!

I am really enjoying this drama!
