Seventeen To Receive Precautionary Covid Testing

According to a notice posted by Pledis on both their Twitter and Facebook accounts, Seventeen was exposed to a person who tested positive for COVID-19 at the hair salon they were at. The group will quarantine while awaiting the results of their tests.

Mods, I'm so sorry TT please forgive my incompetence, my brain has been so scattered today.  Also I really hope they all test negative, and I'm glad they're being cautious even though they weren't officially told to do so.

they just canceled their appearance since s.coups' results are still not out and most likely will take a while longer. guess they'll be heading home again :/

It's very um bad optics to send some members who tested negative to the gayos. shouldn't they be quarantining for safety?

they didn't come in direct contact with anyone who's tested negative and only got tested as a precaution (without a notice from the government) so they don't have to self-quarantinue. it was the same for twice (sans sana) who were able to continue their schedules after being tested negative.

that being said, it's still fucking stupid to only send the members who've received their results while some are still waiting?? especially since pledis couldn't even be bothered to release a statement in advance. i don't understand why kbs are still having them attend in this situation.

ah ok that makes more sense if it was secondary exposure, NCT had cancelled similarly and then I saw some of them still went too so I was rly confused. These gayos should have been cancelled I rly hope there isn't an outbreak from them.

what a mess only for them to cancel their appearance anyway fdjskff also not to speculate but i find it really hard to believe even with different testing centers anyone's results (especially one that's likely expedited) is taking over one working day to come back in Seoul, test results have been taking under 6h for a good several months now and EVERYONE had their results back but scoup's ?!?! either way shit move to send them out to the wild all around even IF everyone did test negative

to be fair, other groups who were tested yesterday are also attending the pre-recording. i don't understand why kbs is still going through with the event.

My results when I got tested here in the US came back same day, I have a hard time understanding how they wouldn't all have their results back yet. Don't they all live together, just in different rooms? If one ends up positive, do they all have to quarantine?

yeah that's why I'm tinfoil hatting a lil because like you said even in the US you're getting your results back the same day, idols with immediate work responsibilities is likely to have access to expedited testing too, the official reason they're going with is they tested at different centers but even then the same applies, I can't help but think the results ain't the most favourable...(though I REALLY hope that isn't the case)

afaik, they're not required to quarantine or even test because the contact they had was indirect so TECHNICALLY no rules broken but yeah totally senseless to send the other 12 out when SCoup's result is still up in the air since they're ALL CLOSE CONTACTS of one another ( but I guess tiny caveat is they do live on 3 different apt spread up 4/4/5 but EVEN then..)

but I'm guessing it's also got to do with contractual obligations with KBS so until they were sure of the results or didn't have the results in time as it happens they have to show up and prepare in the event they're all negative, but when combined with radio silence from Pledis up until the very last minute, it made for this shit show lol...
